The thing that really caught my eye was
Of those Swans players potentially seeking new homes, Nic Fosdike is rumoured to be considering a move home to Adelaide
Anyone heard anything else on this? Nic can't leave.
Sydney does not need Everitt! He is so close to washed up the only thing missing is the rinse cycle. He has proven to be only interested in himself as an individual and is only trying to add Sydney to his CV and perhaps enter the Sydney market for his own marketing/self promotional purposes.
Why would a club as obviously united as the Swans want to entertain this parasite is an absolute mystery. He would be a dangerous blight on your admirable team ethos.
This guy does not deserve to play with a top team. He had his chance with the Saints and walked and is now only going to be a role player. Come this September 2007 he is more likely to be playing VFL then aiding the Swans to another premiership attempt.
I would think that Barry Hall will have a sizeable amount of influence in this matter, he would have known him well at the Saints. Will be interesting to see which way this one goes.
Very tricky one indeed.

I heard something about Nic wanting to go back home. I know, he can't leave!!! Some people on RWO said that this 'rumour' has been going on for a while, even last year. So i don't think it can be too serious? Right? Is his wife from NSW or Adelaide?
I don't want Everitt. And i really think Hall is going to push Spida into the side. Hall said so himself a few weeks ago, Hall wants him on our side. No Thanks!

I'm not sure, but hopefully nothing comes of it. He's become quite a consistent player for us, he's always doing what is expected of him. I don't want him to go..

Same. I don't want him to go. He is such an important player.

Talk of players like Fosdike and Buchanan leaving is hard to hear, such good players.
I think Everitt would be a waste. We would have to trade our 1st round pick and we can't afford that, especially considering Everitt is 33-34. We have an ageing list, we need quality youth.
How would you Swans fans feel about swapping Spider and pick 24 for pick 15? Seems about right to me. You gain a player that will probably make you a significantly better side for 2-3 years and all you lose is 9 spots in the draft.

That is too kind to us. I doubt Hawthorn would be stupid enough to go through with a trade like that. For the last 2 or 3 years we have given away out first round pick, I think we should actually use it this year instead of trading it.
