Seeing that the other thread got "lost" in the crash, thought I'd restart this.

So what travel etc plans do people have for 2007? Any news of hatches and matches? Are any of our overseas based posters looking at coming back to Australia?

I will just start on this year, early November I fly out to the United States of America for a nine week holiday.

Travelling to places like New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco, Philadelphia and New York plus more Im sure.

After getting married next year I should then reside in the United States of America full time with a lot more travelling to do.

Lots of pressure now on DK. :D

Yeah right....... :D

No chance of it happening with me next year.........

My plans for 2007 are to continue to get stuck into the new job/business as the signs are all showing we are in for a very good run once the wet is over and even with the build-up upon us it just continues to grow.

Add to that some great promotions we are involved in from November through to the end of January will see our products regularly on TV (without costing us a cent) and on top of that our product range will be tripling as we move into a new part of the market.

Second half of the year will see a trip down south and I'm hoping to get across to Broome and Bali sometime as well.

In Feb/March, I will be resigning from my current position* to begin the bar readers' course at the Victorian Bar. Then it is a life of silly wigs and gowns for me.

I'm a little nervous. It's going to be a bit of a shock going from a monthly salary to possibly no clients and late payments from those I do have. That said, I'm really looking forward to the change. The life of a solicitor in a big firm doesn't suit me.

Other than that, I don't have much else planned. The insecurity of income makes planning any holidays difficult.

* they already know this so there is no danger in writing this at work

Travel - Planning to travel to Malaysia around late Feb/March next year to meet the other half's family. Probably will go back there again later in the year for a family wedding and hopefully for the Asian Cup if Australia are playing there and I can get the time off.

Living - Planning to move in with my other half early next year, first time both of us will be living independent of family so it's exciting, really looking forward to it and all the challenges that come with it.

Personal - All going well I can see us getting engaged some time next year.

Work - Must finally get admitted to Legal Practice, I've put it off 2 years and really should get my s**t togehter and do it. As for a job change - who knows.

If you value your sanity and having a life outside of work, don't practice. There are long moments where I seriously regret my career choice. I'm just hoping that the change of costume cures me of that.

Bachelor of nursing. After this semester which I am doing fulltime I only have 21 units to complete, which is basically the final 2 practium subjects, meaning that I have 70 more days of unpaid clinical to do:eek:

I'll hopefully be moving from my current Woolworths store (Virginia) to a bigger store. I've been told that I'll only be at Virginia for another month or two, so hopefully at no later than just after the new year, I'll be going to a store like Elizabeth, Para Hills or even Modbury Heights, to continue my Woolies career as a Produce 2IC. Come June, no matter what store I'm at, I intend to transfer to the brand new store being built at Burton, hopefully I'll be Produce Manager, although I'll be happy to be 2IC.

I'm continuing on with the second year of my PhD in 2007 - hopefully it will be smoother sailing with fewer headaches than the first six months of this year proved to be.

I will continue to try to feed our two little mouths by doing weekly night shifts at one of the Private Hospitals here in Adelaide, as well as consulting one day a week in private.

My wife is expecting our third child in mid-March.

Travelling? A couple of trips to the States are on the cards, for conferences and being trained in a new cardiac catheter-based procedure.

I'm planning to go on my first overseas trip. I've planned it for the last year, and been getting money together, but next year, I'm planning on doing it. I want to go Los Angeles and Hollywood. I plan to do the touristy things, such as Disneyland, Universal Studios Tour, and other sites. I'm probably going in October, after the footy season, and after the U.S. summer holidays. Otherwise, I will have to deal with massive queues while lining up for the Disney rides.

I plan to move to home of the Premiers, and then after that (2008, hopefully) to the home of the Ashes (even though it will be technically the Aussies) for a working holiday and then quiet possibly back to where I am right now.

Don't really have any plans for next year as yet. Depending on the footy fixture I guess I'll head over to Adelaide for a couple of matches...

You mean to say that James hasn't got you lined up yet? ;)

I guess the West Coast win didn't help.
