Anybody got some songs they want to share that were played at their wedding or what they want to be played at their wedding?? Be it the song for the first dance or walking down the aisle. Anybody in a relationship have a certain song they deem 'their own'? Just a bit curious at the moment, Sly's post about 'At last' got me thinking as did currently organising my sister's wedding.

Haven't been married, and don't intend to in the near future, but at my sister's wedding a couple of years ago, the singer played a couple of interesting tunes... "Stuck in the Middle With You" by Steelers Wheel, and Paul Kelly's "To Her Door" which is about a broken marriage!

Naturally, We're A Happy Team At Hawthorn was the bridal waltz.

Followed closely by Fall At Your Feet.

For that all-important walk down the aisle:

*A lil section of the 50 or so hours of the 'Good Vibrations' sessions that has that lil organ part plus some backing vocals. Divine. :D

First Dance:

either the Beach Boys' "Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder)" or California Girls. :D

At my cousins wedding, her first dance song was "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler

At Last by Etta James. Its a bit of a dodgy/classic song, one of the first songs I ever learnt to sing properly and I love it. :)

That one by KC and Jojo, can't think of the name, but you know the one...

Others that I'd definitely have played when appropriate include 'Only You', 'Til there was You' and 'When I fall in Love', the Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson duet, I think.

And of course, who can forget, 'Groovy Kind Of Love' by the man, Phil Collins :D

Simply classic, but rather disturbing, a friend of mine got married about a month or so ago, and their chosen piece of music was the combination of Kylie and Nick Cave, Wild Rose (or whatever, you know the one).

I thought that song was about an insane guy who killed the beautiful lovelies in his life?

Well, if I was gonna get married now (highly unlikely!) then the first dance would be "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith.

Not married, but considering "The bitch is back" by Elton John, or "Highway to Hell" ACDC.

My funeral would be "Happiness is a warm gun".

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood today......;)
