Do the cats want Bradshaw in exchange for 2nd pick and losing S,Johnson

seems a win-win for both clubs. lions want youth. cats want a big forward.

I'd rather SJ wasn't traded, but if he had to be, getting Bradshaw would be the only worthwhile compensation IMO.

Medhurst, Tarrant, Solomon etc. not good enough.

Id prefer Tarrant to Bradshaw, he's younger and if he were played further up the ground rather than a FF then we would be looking good. CHF is what we lack, Otto and Nath can go out of the sqaure (and even Hawkins will be used as a FF in his first season)

Go for a CHF if we're losing SJ - otherwise dont go at all!

100% agree. Would only give up Johnson for Tarrant unfortunately we are Geelong :thumbsd:

That is not a win-win scenario. Johnson may be a very good player, and Brisbane may be after youth, but replacing our only reliable key position player with a smaller man is not win-win.

The trade might be fair in terms of value, but we need a big man as much as Geelong do.

CHF is what we lack
We have Mooney, Playfair, N. Ablett and possibly Hawkins to play there. FF is what we lack, all we've got so far is Otto and he spends 50% game time in the ruck because he is a better ruckman than forward and King is always injured. That's why we need Bradshaw.

Lol uv gotta be joking? Playfair can't hold down CHF (rarely does it in the VFL, let alone the big time of the AFL), Mooney is not a concrete player - he drifts everywhere during a game from forward, to ruck, to loose man in defence, and Nathan Ablett hasn't got a big enough engine nor provide searching leads that all top CHF's do. He starts near the square and leads out to the 50m arc - that position is called FF.

Hawkins wont be able to hold down CHF in the AFL for a few years either, we need Taz more than Bradshaw as much as it pains me to say it.

in the handful of AFL games he has played leading out from FF, but in his 2 BOG VFL finals, played very much as a traditional CHF. Was getting very good at it too.

True L/D - but as anyone with a clue would tell u - its a mighty big step from VFL to AFL.

Huddo just mentioned on SEN that Bradshaw has signed, is this true?

As I mentioned in an earlier thread he has just wasted our time to better the terms of his contract. Had no intention of leaving in my opinion.

Yep, we can stop wanting him in the Hoops.

I dont recall Daniel ever publicly stating he was considering leaving.

Focus your angst at his manager. Braddy is a good bloke.

Happy with the outcome, didn't really want to trade for Bradshaw when you've got Ablett and Hawkins coming through.

Now get onto that Dog for 18 or 20 trade, stat.
