We have all heard he wants to move back to WA. Rumor has it Eagles have thrown a cheeky/useless offer of Adkins + pick 66. Dockers have shown no interest and are too busy elsewhere and Eagles think there a chance to sneak a player cheaply.

Who wouldnt. Most people who have spoken to Ash McGrath knows he a bit of a ******** and would quite easily enter the PSD.

Complete Rubbish. Freo want none of McGrath. Do you really think there atm organising 4 trades at once?

Coming of a badly broken leg after a very poor start to the WAFL year

I wouldn't mind having Chipper on the list again next year on a 1-year deal. Have to wait and see.

You're welcome to him mate!

Can we have Tarrant now? ;)

McGrath for Medhurst would be a reasonable trade, if anything it's in Freo's favour.

I've got no major interest in him coming to the Eagles, we have plenty of his type (well so do Freo but they do love trading).

Bris would probably consider medhurst for mcgrath, both on similar salaries so cap shouldn't be an issue.

Its possible. I'm sure these people can organise more than one trade in a week if they want.

By the same token you are suggesting West Coast could not do a Chris Tarrant and Ashley McGrath deal at the same time...

Do you less than 12 mins ago?

Paperwork would be insane plus Freo wouldnt be able to afford his salary which is much more then what Medders is on. Its just not gonna happen

How is that any different to West Coast?

So Fremantle would have salary cap restraints by taking Medhurst but argueable the better team with better players that just won a flag wouldn't have those problems?

Pretty much. Why do you think were chasing Tarrant for without wanting to give up any of our players

You are really clasping at straws there. You offered Fletcher (who is on a reasonable salary) and 16 for Tarrant. Perhaps you offered Fletcher because you would be over the salary cap if you traded a young player for Tarrant? Its just as meaningful suggesting that.

Since when were Fremantle moving either Polak or Medhurst for salary reasons?

And getting back to your original point that it would be too much paperwork. How can WCE fill in paper work quicker than Freo?

Gardiner came of a 500k contract. Phil Matera 300k. Add Adkins backended contract to that and dare I say we have more salary cap room then most other teams in the AFL. Its like Sydney how there offering Everitt 400k. Both teams have salary cap room left.

Fletcher was never offered. That was radio bullcrap

Yes but you don't get the bonus salary cap like Sydney qualifies for due to interstate players?

What about the increase in players wages that happens every year? The young players demanding proper wages rather than pissy little contracts? And the draftees which will all take up cap room?

And you didn't offer Chad Fletcher? rofl

Add the following:

Coming off the list we will have the 2 you mention + Banfield + McDougall + Gaspar (who was only on a 1 year deal). That would free up easily more than $1 million from this years cap.

Presumably the cap is also being increased due to the new TV rights deal. The Eagles are good at this stuff. They do not need to give up any of the players that have been mentioned i.e. Rosa, Staker and Fletcher.

The Fletcher story is complete bollocks... as Embers points out.
