Oh dear!
This better not be true, I'd be a very shattered man.
I've got a few Carlton mates and they know board members and there is inside information that Hawthorn are throwing up Cam Brown to land Bret Thornton.
Imagine the outrage at Hawthorn.

First Batemans name gets thrown up, now Cambell. Where do these crappy rumours come from? I guess people just like speculating about our International Rules players.
Let me say this, there is zero chance that Cambell will be traded for Bret.

as much as id hate to see this- ive heard Campbell Brown is quite unliked at Hawthorn. One night at GPO (nightclub in melbourne) not long ago i met Zac Dawson and he was adament how much he didnt like him, saying 'him and spider are the most unliked at hawthorn.'
Ive also heard from a family member who was linked to him for a while how much of a '****er' he is.
i'd still hate to see him go- he has that X factor that great premiership players have about them.

If this were to happen i know i wouldnt have the balls to but it would certainly see me reconsider my membership. campbell brown is the heart of our team on the field. i remember a couple of years ago when he sacrificed himself to inspire us to a win over adelaide breaking his shoulder.
it is blokes like browny, daniel chick, scott brothers, pickett and brett kirk that get teams over the line in finals just as much as your polished superstar and to get rid of him after he even played his juniors at hawthorn ammos would be criminal.

Is it? We traded Croad, why not Brown, would want a good deal (Thornton is a no no). Definately tradable, our team could function almost as well without him. He will only ever be untradable if he can seriously improve his disposal.

Zac Dawson said that huh! Well what a w**ker he is for even saying that to a stranger at a nightclub. :thumbsd:
I don't need to know if Hawthorn players are good or s**t blokes, just that they can play the game..........and in this Campbell dumps all over poor Zac.
If Zac has a problem with Browny why doesn't he confront him about it?.....actually I know why.

Only way Browny would be traded is if we upgraded our pick.
Brown + Pick 6 for Thornton and Pick 1.

How can any hawthorn fan say that??
Anyone that knows Browny wouldn't say that. He's a champ.
and FYI Spider and Browny hate each other.
Unbelievable that you would post that and also take Zac Dawson's word.
He's a top bloke that gets himself into trouble sometimes, but regardless of that, his courage tipifies the kind of guts it takes to win premierships. He is hands down one of the most courageous players in the league, let alone hawthorn.
You're a disgrace.
Why would you come on here and bad mouth a man who has repeatedly sacrificed his body for the Hawthorn Football Club?
Campbell Brown should be our next captain;
and you should be traded to the Demons.

I went up to him at "The Hawthorn" in hawthorn after he did that and thanked him. He was with Mitch, Robbie Campbell and Ries.
He shook my hand and said thanks. he is a ****ing legend! anyone who supports trading him should be shown the door. He's the heart and soul of our club

Do you tempify all Carlton supporters?
I really hope not ... i think most of us would be delighted to rid of Thornton, and gain a quality player the likes of Campbell Brown, though sadly or fortnately if your a Hawks supporter, i dont see it happening either

What?
The only person you could swap for Campbell Brown is Steven Baker from the Saints. Those two guys have more guts in their little toes than most of the other players in the AFL put together. The Saints would never swap "Bakes" and we would (read SHOULD) NEVER trade Brown.
We trade Brown, I'll trade my Membership

Dont blame Zac Dawson.
This was posted by an idiot who probably doesnt support HFC , or was too out of their head at GPO to know what was acctually said.
If your going to dump on anyone dump on the poster

Rediculous. Brown exemplifies the very attributes that made Hawthorn such a successful side in the 80's. He's tough, courageous and aggressive. He was one of the most consistent players this year. Puts his body on the like every week.
I suggest you review the match against Adelaide this year.

good call...
Must agree by the fact that noone in carlton is tough except the experienced ones (whitnall, kouta (maybe a bit soft at times), and fevola)...but could be used to build a more physical carlton in the future....
BTW, how old is he???

I suggest you take a reality check, I like Brown for the same reasons you do, but the team comes first, my loyalty is with the club as a whole. I think it is rediculous to say he will never be traded, because that is just not true.
Anywayz I hope he has a great year next year, and can keep improving like he did this year.

I agree. I talked to him at the Depot a few years back, and he couldn't have been friendlier. Talked of how much he loved the club and the blokes there...hardly gave the impression of a bloke at odds with his teammates.
