Anyone catch today's game?

Any standouts for the Red & Whites? (Not that I read much into these pre season games, esp. when we lose)

an intersesting encounter at Manuka on the weekend, with the Kangaroos getting up by 21 points.

A very physical encounter with alot of heavy bumps, Dunkley accidently concussed himself on a stray kneecap, Schauble split open an eyelid tangling with Carey (nice body-slam Wayne !!! ).

I thought Sydney looked slightly the better of the two teams out thre, they moved the ball a little more smoothly than the Roos and seemd to be just that little bit more organised down the back and a little more fluid running the ball out of defense.

Yet more outstanding work from Stuart Maxfield as the "link - go to" type guy in the midfield.

Absolutely atrocious goalkicking let Sydney down - and its all the more worrying when you realise that we've supposed to be working on this over the off-season !!!!

I thought Micky O'Loughlins' two bad misses from set shots in the 2nd quarter really cost us badly.

What is it with Magic ? - Every season it seems his kicking for goal gets worse and worse to the point where nowadays if he marks and takes a set shot - I just don't expect him to get it - sad, and a bit harsh maybe but he really needs to take a good look at his set-shot goal kicking, for a so-called star player I think it is absolutely woeful.

He's still really good on a running shot though - perhaps he should play on and run straight over the mark instead of having a set shot ? - In any case he needs to fix his goal kicking yips - now.

In contrast Sav Rocca really had a day out on Sunday - 5 goals from 7 marks and as solid and reliable as he has ever looked in his career. A great performance from a player who one feels may still have his best playing days in front of him.

Its frustrating for any fan to see ones' team dominate in general play but kick poorly to lose the game. They say bad kicking is bad football, so if thats true then I'm afraid the Swans have plenty to do if they are fair dinkum about where they wnat to be this season
