If your anything like me you might be feeling like something from your childhood has just died.

Chuck Jones, the Warner Bros mind behind 'Loony Tunes' and 'Merry Melodys' died on Saturday aged 89.

The man gave so much pleasure to my life that I still get even today. Ive never grown 'up' to move on from cartoons, comics, imagination. From giving the Noo Yawk edge to Bugs Bunny or creating the Road Runner and Pepe le Pew he was the main driving force behind many of the cartoons that still are being played all over the world every day.

They might be looked on as trivial by some but what he gave to the world was laughter and happiness. If more people could be like that it would be a better place.

Thanks for the fun that I and many more will continue to enjoy for many many years to come.

R.I.P. Chuck Jones

Thanks for making so many post-school afternoons and Saturday mornings so wonderful. And of course, all those Loony-Tunes and Merry Melodies nights at the old Valhalla cinema.

I still watch them if they come on the tv and I try to get my girls aged 4 and 2 toi watch them instead of the mindless stuff that they create now.

They enjoy them as well as Huckleberry Hound Yogi Bear Quick Draw McGraw Rocky & Bulwinkle though Top Cat is too advanced for them at this stage!

RIP to a great man-Warner Bros Cartoons had the greatest bunch of animators, directors, voicemen and writers. Still find a lot of it very, very funny after all these years.

RIP Chuck Jones

as a kid, I always loved the WB cartoons....and with my kids I prefer them to watch WB than these other things that are now out.....

He may have gone, but he left a wonderful legacy behind
