i was watching a show on tv the other day about the pyramids and tombs etc in egypt.

the pyramids are built in such a way as to keep people out.

i presonally dont think its right, like how would you like it if you died and someone comes and digs you up, takes you away and does research on you.

i know the scientists want to find out more about our history but reckon disturbing peoples graves just isnt right.

thoughts neone?

Its an interesting topic this one.

I think there is a lot more to it than just the graves.
I think the information buried underneath these pyramids is so valuable, that we just can't help but go and look for it.

I did Ancient History in year 11 and 12. So I obviously had a lot to do with this kind of stuff.

Things that they would want to find out .. are like the blocks that made the pyramids. Those huge sandstone and limestone blocks weighed upwards from 1 tonne.
There is interest on how they moved them etc, and how they got them exactly into place.

And of course the hyroglyphs (ahh cant remember hte spelling) or the picture writing, tell a lot about how they lived in the past.

I love all that ancient stuff, seeing how they lived back then, just amazes me.

Did you know that the Sphinx was found to have water erosion. They dated it back 10,000 years. This completely changes everything because no-one previously thought humans went back that far, so there is information to be learnt.

I think you need to put it in perspective. There's not really bodies left within theses tombs, just bones, and i don't think that a bunch of bones that has been lying in the dirt for god knows how many years is really going to hold a grudge against a scientist who wants to run a few tests on them.

of course the Egyptians knew that in 8000 years some guy called Jesus would "be nailed to a tree for thinking how good it would be for people to be nice to each other"....forcing therefore the Gregorian calender to be adopted several centuries after that, including the adjustmenmt of the said calender for mainly egotistical but also adjustments for leap years and the 4 hours 48 mins and 40 seconds a year > 365 days that it takes the earth to rotate around the sun.

The egyptians knew all this and made the pyrimids to line up with Sirius on what was to be (unbeknown to them) 1 Jan 2000.

Didn't thieves and grave diggers get most of the bodies early on so they could steal the riches that were in with the bodies/bones..........that was one reason I heard that most of the remaining bodies were taken away..........

why do the christians of the middle east follow the julian calander? if that alignment happened on dec 5th (at a guess in relation to julian) then it really wouldnt be special would it?

Im not exactly sure about the bodies. Most of the bodies werent touched that much from memory. But yes, grave robbers got to many of the Tombs, so many of them are now empty.

In fact many of the Christians of the Middle East follow a modified Gregorian calendar and not the Julian calandar.

Could you explain in more detail how the Jesuits supposedly worship the Devil?

The devil worshippers were obviously in error if they gathered at the pyramids to mark the occasion of the advent of the Third Millennium and 21st century by performing satanic rituals. They were a year early.
