I'm a big fan of Moby but i lost a little respect for him yesterday when i saw him miming Body Rock in the closing ceremony of the winter olympics. I hate it when artists mime, it looks cheap and tacky. The annoying thing is that i've heard Moby perform Porcelain and Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad live and he was brilliant.

Are you sure he was live when you saw him?

I saw his tour in 99 I think it was, and about 90% of it was live.

I think one of the reasons that many artists prefer to lip-synch when they're playing at sporting events is because the acoustics are so God-awful. You'll be singing the second verse, while the first verse is still ricocheting around the cheap seats. It's a nightmare. I'm sure Moby would've done it for the money. Because there's no way a gig like that could possibly be a good career move. He was already in serious danger of over-exposure BEFORE he played the Olympics ... and I'm a fan, by the way.

I love Moby. I'm so glad I didn't see that.

Im a Moby fan...but open air concerts in big stadiums like that is always hard on performers. Read that article Coxy and it wasnt news to me, ive known Spears, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and all the rest of that Pop **** lip synch. Its obvious!!

Nothing beats a good rock band.
