Just voted I Like Mustard - Hot English on a nice medium-rare premium quality rump steak. Mind you, one can only have a small amount if the tounge is to be left intact.

And in discussing quality steak, it is so difficult to buy a good cut right in the heart of Australia's beef country where I have been over the past months. Why? Because the best is exported to a huge overseas demand for our beef, lamb and pork. Aussies are left with the lower grades of meat to buy for their tables.

A tip where to buy the best rump steak. If you are ever on the Gold Tweed Coasts have a dine-out at the Sails Resturant, Tweed Heads Bowls Club. Beautiful tender steak. Seafood dishes are cute too, the club is opposite a fish trawler wharf.

Cannot stand Mustard. You put it on something and all you can taste is the mustard.

The sav is synonomous to Aussie Rules just like the pie and tomato sauce. Served at the Hot-Dog Stand, usually comes in an unbuttered partly cut-in-half bread roll with the big red sav placed in it to have spread over it (the choice of) either tomato sauce (Yanks use ketchup), a variety of mustard flavours or horse-radish.

The pie and sauce was almost the sole icon meal at sports events in Australia. We followed the Yanks by menuing the Hot-Dog at sporting events as we saw it in so many Hollywood productions and there was the USA influence during WW11 when so many of their servicemen were here assisting the defence of Australia against invasion by the Japanese.

Sushi anyone?

Only on hot dogs, and only American Mustard.

Though there is a great pizza place here in Geelong that makes a Hot Dog pizza, with mustard, tomato sauce, cheese, bacon and bits of hot dog on it.

:p yum.

Doesn't get much lower than Tsing Tao, does it?
I guess it's just that compared to mainland China, it seems expensive.
