I like the way he thinks :thumbsu:. From that I can pick up that Brad Smith will stay on the list. We will be picking up 2 midfielders a KPP and a ruckmen with a midfielder in the first round

“I would suspect that you could get anywhere from eight or nine and even through to 13 or 14 from out of Western Australia this year. The strength of WA boys is quite good.”

That article doesn't really say much. But then again, if he gave anything away he wouldn't be doing his job.

You can confidently bet your left nut that the first one wont be and you could just about take the quinella by coupling up the third one.

The Eagles will have a list of potential draftees clasified from 1 to 20.
Any higher rated player left at 16 will be their pick no matter who it is.
This is how we got Hurn and Rosa ,Judd, Sampi ,Hansen, Seaby and Johnson.
The strategy has worked very well and has probably netted us a premiership.
There will be no change .

You've been wrong before.

I dont know that people were calling his comments intelligent but Trevor is a very intelligent man when it comes to recruiting. Actually, he is an intelligent man full stop.

what really was interesting was the way he backed away from the hype, and was reluctant to suggest it was any better than 2001. different sure, but not better.

WC are not a club for big statements.

"Boring is better" is their motto.

They will consider Morton before Benjamin, you can bet on it.

I wouldn't think that strategy is any sort of secret of unique to the Eagles ... seems pretty obvious that most clubs (if not all) would have their own ranking of players and simply pick the highest ranked available player when it's their club's turn to pick

I wont be surprised if he goes first round I believe he is a better prospect than the older brother and I wouldn't hesitate to take him before Benjamin.
If he doesn't go first round he will definitely go in the second.

Lynch, Hunter, Glass :) .

Now that they are wearing Premiership medallions around their necks, are they still hacks?

How can we forget your favourite "hack", Glass. Did you enjoy his All-Australian fullback year? Funny I didn't hear much from you lately about how awful the Eagles KPPs are?
