This was on a few weeks back now, and eventhough they showed plenty of good movies from he modern era (schindlers list, shawshank redemption etc), it seemed to be dominated by movies from the 50's to the 70's.

The most dissapointing thing about the countdown was how BABE was able to make the list (A bull**** story) yet two of the most inspiring movies that i have ever seen that included real life scenarios were not included these being Men of Honour and Remember the Titans.

Why do people think Remember the Titans is so inspirational?

It is a fairly good movie but it is just personifies everything i hate about American cinema.

That list was a joke. Well, for Australian viewers anyway. You could tell it was a list compiled completely in America. There were so many movies that would have had no meaning at all to Australian movie watchers. As soon as I realised that it was a purely American list, I knew that It's A Wonderful Life would be number one.

Agree 100%.

I hate the movie. So American, so hammed-up and so little content.

what was number 1?

A wonderful life.

Personally, schindler's list was number one for me. Plus, rocky was way too high at five, then they showed it afterwards. Noooo... argh.
