View Full Version : Which team do you anticipate playing against?
Regardless of whether you usually win/lose, which team do you really look forward to watching ur team play against?
Definitely the Bulldogs. If last year is anything to go by, we are in for two really close ones again. :thumbsu:

Carlton. No matter where either team is on the ladder they're always close games.

Melbourne and Essendon.
Positive results in all games-the least we should be aiming for is a draw, and a win is definitely realistic :D

Richmond Saturday night dreamtime it's the next best thing, should take off if both clubs start to play finals in the next 3-4 years.

Definetly love beating Collingwood and Essendon especially after our recent record against them, for a while there they always seemed to pump us.
Probably Geelong. But Brisbane will be up there for the next two-three seasons.

Usually when the Lions play Collingwood. Whenever the Lions win, I just love to see the reaction of the Pies' fans. On regular basis, we usually kick their butts. Watching Essendon is pretty good also and whenever the match is in Melbourne, I go with my cousins.
Definately Essendon.
The wheel is turning and they know it :thumbsu:
Geeong for us - two games, two one point margins.
Great way to open the season.

It is the only time during the season you get something close to a 50/50 crowd and even then because of the high memberships of both clubs there is still a high bias in the crowd for the "home" team.
I was 20 years old when the Eagles were formed so can still remember (just) what it was like to go to footy and have an equal number of supporters from each club around you sharing in the banter as the game went on. Victorian based clubs still have this most weeks.
There are a whole generation of Eagles supporters who don't know what it is like to watch their team in front of 50/50 crowd. This is probably also true of Adelaide and will also be the case for Port and Freo.
the eagles, see how we go against the best in the comp with our stars back
