And please keep in mind, they might not all stay. Sometimes we have to reset our preferences for things that do or don't show etc once an upgrade has been done.

When you quote somebody, is that the BigFooty post number that follows the username? In other words, was Danni's post the 6178504th BigFooty post?

Yep.
We've actually had the ability to pinpoint posts since the last (or one before) upgrade. All you need to do is click on the #x number above the post - that will give you the specific URL of that indiviual post - you can use that to link to specific posts instead of a whole topic and saying 'the 4th post from the top' or the likes.

It will be interesting to see how the 'reputation' function works. The first thing that comes to mind as a fault to this function is that I can see little cliques banding together and pumping each other's tyres up all the time, or conversely it might encourage people to stalk and discredit someone.
Huss and Danni. Are there any limitations on this function?

Hence one of the main reasons we don't use them. What people feel they deserve and what they get are often poles apart. That, and the fact that it causes us so much grief when people start rep point campaigns to build up or discredit other posters.

Edit - by the way I found that if you upload a jpeg you have to resize the image before you do so, but if you upload a gif image it resizes it for you.

Yes - you have access to a small avatar.
BFSC members have access to using large avatars.

The 'similar threads' section at the bottom of the page seems like a good idea.
