i was reading this on footygoss.com, who do you think is going to retire at the end of 07'?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of those seven Rohan Smith is retired, Chris Grant is likely to call it quits at the end of the season, Scott West turns 32 in less than a fortnight and Brett Montgomery and Nathan Eagleton are both on the wrong side of 30 and expected to call it quits at the end of '07.

While there is plenty of cause for optimism at Whitten Oval, keep in mind the Dogs were thumped to the tune of 74 points by eventual premiers West Coast in a semi-final and with several of their stars tipped to close the curtains on their illustrious careers in the next couple of years, a flag in the next three years still seems a way off.

Thats why you do what the Crows did and go at it at a hundred miles an hour and never be in doubt that as a player and coach you extracted every inch of effort to be your best...

Just wished it worked :(

I can't see Westy going at the end of this season. The same goes for Eagle, but Monty I can see going.

Monty - 1 more year.
Granty - 1 more year.
Darcy - 2 more years.
Eagleton - 3 more years.
West - 3 more years.

That write-up is rubbish.

2 years of good Footy left.

The third year will be similiar to Monty's 2007 and Bubba's 2006.

Could only see Monty and Grant calling it quits. West has another 2 or 3 genuinely good years left in him.

Where du pull your info from... Eags the wrong side of 30... This must be news to him and everyone else, sure his hairline doesn't do him any favours but the bloke is only 27. He turns 28 in a few days on the 10th of November. He's still got 4 or 5 in him I say.

Monty - gone at the end of the year
Grant - same as above
Westy - two more
Johnno - 3 to 4
Robbo - 2 more
Acker - 3 to 5
Darc - 2
Grif - 10 of the best!

As much as it pains me to write this Chris Grant will probably retire at the end of season 2007.

Monty a possibility to retire aswell...but not before he plays every game next season and assures us we have a crack at the father/son for his sons to be able to play with with the Dogs. He needs 22 games to reach the 100.

Yes, Eagleton isn't THAT old...every seems fascinated with his old age and downfall on this board, but he'll play at least another 3 important years for this team.

hmm eagleton isn't that old

here's his stats

Nathan Eagleton
Guernsey Number: 10
Height 179cm
Weight: 81kg
Recruited From: West Adelaide (SA)/Port Adelaide
Debut: 1997 (Bulldogs debut 2000)
Date of Birth: 10 November 1978

He'll still be 29 by the end of the 2008 season.

Which means he turns 28 in 4 days time.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY EAGLETON", you old man!

Spot on. Or maybe West for another 5. Seriously... when was the last time that bloke got injured? When did he not have an influence on back to back games?

He might play til he's 40.

Grant and Monty will go at the end of 07. The end of '08 will be tough as I don't think anyone will give it away.

The rest i think will go like this

Darc and Westy in '09
Johnno, Aker and Robbo 2010
Eagle 2011
