Here's a real tough one (unless you know the answer).
Each 24 hours (that is, assuming no one has correctly guessed the answer) I'll think about adding a clue to help out.
Who is the only player in the history of the AFL/VFL to have played at least 50 games with 3 different clubs?
The Coon Dog

A clue.
He debuted in 1980 & the Western Bulldogs was his 3rd club.

Give the man a cigar!! CORRECT
Galaxy began with Fitzroy (1980-1984) playing 64 games/7 goals. He then went to Sydney (1986-1989 where was he in 1985?) & played 61 games/57 goals before his move to the Doggies (1990-1993) where he managed 69 games/51 goals.
Great get Local.
Who was the first player ever drafted by the Bulldogs?

Who was the first player ever drafted by the Bulldogs?
Depends. The draft had a brief life from 1981-84(?). Our first two selections at the '81 draft were Martin Leslie and Neil Craig(!). In '82 when we had first selection we went through the motions of negotiating with a guy from South Australia that Collingwood, who had second selection, desperatly wanted. They paid us $100,000 dollars not to pick the SA guy with our first pick. We picked Andrew Purser and took the cash.
As for the first AFL draft I would guess Murray Rance?

Local,
Your recollection is ringing bells with me. I was relying on the AFL website which says our first ever pick in the draft was Richard Cousins in 1986.
Neil Craig signed a Form 4 but never came across.
Garry Shaw was the rover that Collingwood were so keen to secure (we were always going to take Polly) to add to all the other Shaws they had in Ray, Tony, Neville & Derek.
How about one of more recent times (not involving the Western Bulldogs). Who was the first player ever elevated from the rookie list?

In absence of a reliable source to go on, I will have a ping at Mal Michael.

And a fair ping it was too. Spot on.
Which player in the 1970's was close to being charged by the RSPCA for kicking a dog at VFL Park when it wouldn't get off the ground?

It was 16 goals straight for Sydney against Fitzroy. Ron Barassi was coaching & due to a mix up between him & Plugger the big fella was benched for a while in the 2nd quarter.
I thought someone would have guessed Kelvin Templeton first, so well done Local.
Who was the last player to captain an AFL/VFL team on debut?

A bloke called Jack Hutchinson kicked 16 for us in a game in our VFA years, I think it was 1908.

I was actually driving near the Western Oval that day and listening to the radio, so I decided to drop in and watch Plugger in fine form.

I walked through the car park about 2pm on route to a friends place in Barkly st. Ended up listening to the game on a radio in a lounge room I could see the ground from.

If you mean on debut for his club, then it would be Wanganeen at Port Power.

Correct, it is a good one to throw up at a quiz night.
Another easyish one.
In 2000, Robert Murphy made his debut against Carlton at Optus Oval. Some may remember it as the day we had a number of regular senior players missing & Simon Garlick bobbed up with a bag. Carlton hadn't lost a game in about 12 weeks or so (2 weeks later we played the undefeated Essendon & we all remember that one) before we beat them.
What number did Robert Murphy wear on his jumper in that game?

Think Big won both cups. It may be his number (which I don't know), it may be his odds (which I also don't know). He was ridden by Harry White which is a different spelling to our Cam Wight but that is all I can come up with so I'll go 37. Did I read too much into this?

Yeah, just think big (bigger than 37), that's all. I like your thinking tho. The year was 1988, not that it helps in anyway (unless you have read one of my previous post about where such information can be found).
