Just sent the membership $$$ in... Bring on 2007!!

Also, great that public transport costs were included with the price of the membership.

My mother is a member and told me that Mueller Park will be off-limits for parking next season, due to the $15 public transport cost increase to memberships. Kitchener Park will be open for those with ACROD parking (of which my mother can use).

So basically, don't be expecting to drive to the footy. There'll be even less places to park. Just rely on the shambles of a public transport system we have in Perth.

HOPEFULLY (and I say this knowing it is highly unlikely) they can improve the public transport...at least on game days!

I am a fan of less cars in Subiao but then, I can say that as I live 10 minutes walk from Subi oval. I understand those who live further away and who will have to rely on said bad public transport may not agree with me!

Got my 2007 Victorian membership renewal form today so will send that off nice and early to beat the rush.

Last year I sent it off on time though and it didnt come until round 4 the Friday before we played the Roos in Canberra - this may have been because they knew we didnt play in Victoria until Round 8 though?

Was the Transperth thing optional?

I know I'll use it, but a lot of people would be paying for something they'll never use?

Looks like it isn't optional - there was a Transperth booklet included with the membership booklet and it says the following;

Q: Does my club membership fee include a public transport component?

A: Yes. From 2007, all full seated membership fees will include a mandatory public transport component, to encourage the use of public transport services to home games.

Extra costs are $15 for adults, $11 for concession, $0 for U/15s and $30 for family passes, regardless of the membership type.

Does anyone know how much memberships were last season? I can't remember exactly and would be interesting to see comparisons.
