Was just thinking for the long awaited return of Victoria to the MCG, the greatest ground in history, a ground where we are at our best, what other victorians thoughts were on the teams for the upcoming matches

As much as I have waited for Mick Lewis to get the new ball in his hand {deleted} v Ponting {deleted} before smashing his middle stump out of the ground, but could it be time we actually dropped Mick? Harwood is supposed to be fit and in our only one dayer so far Lewis struggled with the ball whilst Moss, McDonald and Lindsay bowled just the 6 overs between them and following Lindsays brilliant batting he wont be dropped and Harwood was our no1 bowler. Plus the poor batting display should see Quiney put into the side as opener and push Hodge, Hussey and White back to their normal positions

Then for the 4 dayer it would seem wrong to drop Moss or McDonald who did so well with the ball so surely it comes down to Lewis or Harwood and Harwood is probably the better option right now

So my teams would be
Ford Ranger: Klinger, Quiney, Hodge, Hussey, White, Moss, McDonald, Lindsay, Crosthwaite, Harwood, Denton

Pura Cup: Mash, Jewell, Hodge, Hussey, White, McDonald, Moss, Crosthwaite, Warne, Harwood, Denton

Thoughts?

I must say I am looking forward to finally getting back to the G after the horrible couple of years at the Junktion

It's nice to have so many options I guess. I can't wait to get back to the G.

Got away with only two out and out quicks at Adelaide Oval, knowing it would spin. Big risk to do it in Melbourne.

But it would be wrong to drop any of the all rounders as they contributed to the win

The one man team (Warne) could play the Tassie 2nd 11 and still get hammered!

Get McKay in there, at least for the Pura game, in place of Lewis. (pending Harwood's fitness)

How far away from a return is Allan Wise?

I'd like to see McKay in action.

Give Dirk Nannes a run...

Hmmm, Wise won't be right before Christmas.

Doubt Nannes will be a chance to play till late in the season, due to injuries, and recovery.

Vics team for the FRC match on Sunday:
Cameron White (captain), Adam Crosthwaite, Gerard Denton, Brad Hodge, David Hussey, Michael Klinger, Mick Lewis, Grant Lindsay, Andrew McDonald, Clinton McKay, Jonathan Moss, Robert Quiney.
12th man to be named

Sounds like Harwood is still struggling to come up.
