Hey all,

I'm moving down to Melbourne next year and I'm going to get Victorian membership (I've been a country member through the Sydney office for the last five or six years). Would any Vic members like to tell me what the functions are like down there, general value of the whole thing...basically I want some idea of what the scene is like down that way.

Cheers in advance:)

On a more serious note, I have been a Victorian member for the past 11 years and I think it's pretty good value. The GF preference membership (about $150) gets you into all 6 Victorian games, all post-match functions, and for the last 2 years I've had no trouble getting GF tickets. The Swans Melbourne office in South Melbourne is small but very well run and the service is extremely professional. The club's determination to rebuild links with its South Melbourne heritage over the last 11 years has really borne fruit and there is a real feeling of history down here again. Tony Morwood and his charges have done a brilliant job. I haven't used the Danish Club facilities in Middle Park yet, but they look good and they give the club a real home. There are also a couple of other places around Greater Melbourne where supporters meet regularly, and the Melbourne office staff keep us informed about all their functions too.

I was gunna start a thread about this but I am still on a yellow card so I will just post it on this thread.

I noticed that a few of the other club boards sponsor players. Why don't we do it in 2007 for one of our boys?
