If you had no choice but to take one of the four below options, which would you choose? Admittedly none of them are nice.
1) Swap your best player for Aaron Henneman. Yes Eagles that's Judd, and yes RJ that's McLean.
2) Have Mark Thompson appointed your coach on a 5 year contract.
3) Have Dean Laidley appointed your new recruiting manager for the next 5 years, with no support staff and no guidance. He has full autonomy over trading and draft picks.
4) Have your three best players do ACL's in the pre-season (we're all knocking on wood!!!)
1, 2, 3 or 4?

(would have got more but everyone knows alister clarkson is the worst coach in the AFL by a long way)

Ken Judge also was a great recruiting coach, too bad his coaching tactics could have been mistaken for a toddler drawing with a crayon on a piece of paper, i would use that to describe laidly's game plan as well

Who was talking about coaching tactics?
The first post was a shot at Laidley's recruiting and you have said here that Laidley is a great recruiting coach.
I thought you Hawks stuck together?

Nah its not funny, Hodge2Franklin knows more than Cook and Costa and a whole football club. Thompson has no idea about coaching, even after the whole review took place, they saw it was coaching that was thompsons problem and not all his other responsibilities.
Hodge2Franklin is a genius ild take Hodge2Franklin as coach, at least there would be no in house fighting. He could have the players in stitches most of the time. He is a very funny guy.
In all seriousness though, stick with being funny Hodge2Frankin cause u sure have very little idea about footy. Don't worry i do like you though. The what if footy clubs were cars thread is comedy gold.

I think that the whole horrific destruction of the Hawthorn Football Club seen under the Schwab regime is the reason I have been criticising Thompson. I see similarities in the two and I hope for Cats fans I'm very wrong indeed.

Would take No 1 even though we have him, we would be the only club that could't lose cause we have the big heap at the moment.
