124 for 1 (26.0 overs) [NSW won the toss and decided to bat first]

Great to see Jaques on a roll again (68 off 90). Can't be very long until he makes the national side now if he keeps up his current rate.

Yeh Jaques definately desrves to be an opener instead of Watson. Yeh Watson is a good allrounder but an opening batsman should be really good at batting and Jaques definately is. Also it's 1/142 off 33.4 overs now.

The problem is Watson is a good enough all rounder to warrant inclusion. The problem is that he isn't a low order slogger so he needs to bat up the order and our middle order is too good for him at the moment.

He is likely to replace Hayden or Langer after the Ashes however in Test cricket imo.

Australia will stick with Langer and Hayden.

Partnership chemistry is critical in cricket - especially at the top of the order.
