As we are getting into warmer weather (although in Melbourne thats debateable) I thought I'd start a thread to ask what everyone is doing this glorious Ashes summer?

For me, I'll be leaving next Friday on a four week trip to Europe, then went I come back I'm off to the Boxing Day Text at the 'G (hopefully we should have the series well and truly wrapped up after that one) then I'm off to Phillip Island for a week over the NY period (finally get a chance to sit still!).

So, is anyone else going away, or going ot the cricket, or the tennis, or doing anything good this summer?

Going away for new years to Yarrawonga with a heap of mates. Back at work early in the New Year and then going overseas in March so I am saving the bulk of my holidays until then!

Sounds fun, Yarrawonga really is a great spot. Been there before?

Also, whipper, you need to find a replacement for yourself in the draft game, because we definitely won't be finished by then.

I have been there quite a few times actually. We camp on the Murray between Yarrawonga and Cobram in the National Park. It is a great spot!!

Cambodia and Vietnam sound great too! I am off to Phuket in March for two weeks. Get back right as the footy season starts (timed beautifully even if I do say so myself) ;)

Working every day, saving up for my next overseas trip after i graduate next year.

It will either be Africa or Europe, but i'm thinkign Africa with some volunteer programme.

Oh, and I"m going to Melbourne to see Robbie Williams YAY!haha. Hopefully carlton will still be training late december, or i'll be so sad.

I was even considering flying over just for the members day at MC Park .... or is that just sad?

Thoughts?

Well, i've just come back from a week up north on the Sunshine Coast, and pretty much have no money.

Won't be going anywhere over the Xmas/New Year period, but plan to watch lots and lots of cricket, and see the Aussies take back the Ashes that are rightfully ours. :thumbsu:

Moving back to Melbourne in 20 more sleeps...not that I'm counting down or anything!

As I've just started a new job a couple of months back, I'll probably work most of the summer, however am looking forward to catching up with all mates that I've hardly seen over the last 2 years. Saving my leave for my annual NZ snowbaordin trip.

Just bought a new car yesterday, so will probably take a few road trips and go mountain biking in the bush on weekends.

Bring it on!!!

Holidays are boring (unless you're going away), so I'll be working as much as possible. I'm also trying to develop my own e-commerce website as a side-project.

I'm already looking forward to uni next year.... :o

I have 1 more year to finish my current 3 year degree. From there, who knows? I might start another degree part-time, or i might just try my luck in the big bad world.

And yeah, uni's cool. It's both a professional and fun environment. If only the work force was the same.

Well, I think my plans are changing....

My gf's have pulled out of Yarrawonga because we are going away at the end of January as well. They have opted to have a huge house party for New Years instead.

Some of my guy friends are still going so I might just go away with them, but still undecided at this stage.

Decisions, decisions. ;)

Something tells me you aint gonna be enjoying yourself there too much atm. :D

45 degrees every day, and in a town that exists in a diesel cloud. Yuk! Hope the money's worth it kid.

Thinking about it more, it'd be more pleasant down the shaft than up top in December there. Bleah!
