Yooo hoooo,
Now its safe to assume I don't have the same taste as many of you here (My family consider me a freak. They all loooove modern sh** while I still listen to classic rock bands)
Went to Billy Joel tonight, this man knows had to rock! Even if he is bald and getting old. Was absolutely mind-blowing stuff, even from one of the worst seats I've been in
Got there and was about to enter door 1, but my best mate didn't read the ticket properly, so we ran as fast as we could (Against the flow of about 5000 people trying to get in) to door 13. Hoping for quality seats ($200 per seat) we were angered that we were behind the stage to the left, and most the stage blocked by a lighting rig. My seat was probarbly the best of the three.
Billy acknowleged us (bad seat people.... hmmm, nice title for a movie :D) and heck, even did a guitar solo in front of us. If any1 wants to see, I got some pics on my phone.
Bloody hell, We Didn't Start The Fire was awesome live. As was Piano Man.
Top stuff, 10 out of 10, A+++++, hope he comes out here again, would love to see him Live again :D

Chezwick, never a truer word spoken.
The overwhelming emotion you get from Billy is passion, this guy just seems to love doing what he does, and he happens to do it extremely well.
Funny thing is, that almost 12 years to the day since he played his last solo show in Brisbane (It was before an Ashes Test that night as well, I sat a few seats away from Graham Gooch:D ) and the jokes were exactly the same ( I sat behind the stage last time, ended up being a top spot:thumbsu: ) the songs were the same, but the show was absolutely brilliant again.
I saw U2 a few weeks back, and don't get me wrong, they were unbelievable as well, but Billy put on a show and a half. Two and a half hours of classic after classic with Billy giving us a little Billy humour between songs, every song sang at 110% and a crowd that just lapped him up.
For me, any time I hear Scenes From an Italian Resturant live it was worth the cash, but you were spot on with Piano Man and We Didn't Start The Fire (although Chainsaw may have revved the crowd up a little;) ). Other awesome performances were Uptown Girl, I Go To Extremes and the opening of Angry Young Man had everyone out of their seats.
I have had a huge few weeks with concerts, Bernard Fanning, U2, Billy last night, Cirque du Soleil tonight, and Robbie Williams next month(the good wife said I had to:o ). Throw in three days at the Ashes, and I now realise why I am poorer than I would like to be. Thankfully buying the tickets was over a period of time.

How about My Life, Big Shot, Honesty?
Captain Jack? (an oldie but a goodie)
Say Goodbye to Hollywood?
I prefer his older material.
Did Billy Joel ever do a duet with Bruce Springsteen?

Hehhehe, he gave us a choice between Honesty and Just the way we are...... the latter prevailed :D
My Life was bloody awesome, nice intro into the song.
Big Shot was good too, the man can dance!
