Looking at australia's list you can see that our openers meaning gilly hayden and langer aren't going to be around for much longer. So my question is who will open after they are gone. My 4 candidates would be B.Haddin, P.Jauqes, M.North and M.Cosgrove. I also see M.Hussey as a temperary candidate for his final stages of his career.
Cheers Bender;)

Rogers and Jaques would be a pretty good opening pair.
i think Chris Rogers and Luke Ronchi :thumbsu:
Rogers yes, I was impressed by the young lad from Tasmania who scored a hundred and 50 over here against W.A name slips my mind but he was impressive, think he was Aussie, U/19 skipper.

I reckon Huss would be first priority.
nah i reckon he will move to 4 when martyn goes
Huss has had to put up with being moved up and down the order his whole career and the selectors are mindful of this

I think Gilly Hayden and Langer will all be gone by the end of the 07 World Cup.
Jaques and Hussey (who is only 31 and can play for another 5-6 years) would be the obvious replacements.

Paine and Jaques would do if Rogers wasn't to keep on performing, but yeah, Rogers and Jaques at the rate he's going.
