If a tomato falls off the truss should you be able to buy it at the non truss tomatoe price?

I have been doing it for years.
I am a tight arse frugal git, who doesnt want to throw my money away, for the sake of some green bits, but does prefer the flavour.

Is it stealing or is it damaged goods?

It's quite probably both.

In a sense it is damaged goods - it has fallen off its truss.

In a sense it is theft, too because technically you should be charged the right price for it (ie the price it would have been if it hadn't fallen off its truss).

Since when have you been worried about morals, anyway?
