The problem with Dzufer is his pace.Personally I think he will end up being a very good AFL player but it might have to be done via the rookie draft. His time over 20m was 3.2 sec which is very poor for a player that would play in the midfield at AFL level.

He tested worse than last year apparently which didn't help things. There were attitude issues last year which I understand he had tried to put to rest but with such a competitive draft these things can be the difference. He certainly tried hard this year to do all the right things and he did make AA and play well with his new club getting to the AFLQ grand final. You don't know though you only need one club to think you have a shot.

The other AA player not picked by Burgan was Bird. I remember a couple of years ago 15 teams were kicking themselves for overlooking Sam Mitchell. Same scenario here imo. If a team takes a chance they could end up with a similar talent. If no-one takes him though there is going to be a huge rush to sign him to one of those NSW scholarships.

Another notable omission I thought was Dean Kelly. I'm far from an expert though.

I'm even less of an expert...but no Caleb Mourish?

That's not unexpected. If anything, he's a possible smokey

I'm sure Dean Kelly will get drafted.

I think he'll get picked up late, but could easily be a rookie.

No Tom Hurley? Craig Bird?

Both will get picked up. Bird surprisingly early.

btw There are rumours that Dzufer has a terrible attitude or something, and that's what prevented him from getting drafted last year.

Dzufer is also a terrible kick. Also where do you play him? Most of his best footy has been as a small KP player. He doesn't have the skill or pace for midfield. He is a slow, speciliast pocket.
