This is how it will go:)

1. Matthew Leuenberger (Carlton)

Crazy if they don't. Pagan is smart and will make the right decision. A ruckman like this will build the base for a team that HAS A SHOT at a flag...and that is what it is all about. Midifeld is ok already and they can make it better in this draft.

2. Bryce Gibbs (Essendon)

They had their eyes on Hansen but suprise decision by Carlton means a quick change. Future star and finally they get some quality back in their midfield

3. Scott Gumbleton (Kangaroos)

Need a forward option desperately. Big marking will help everyone and he will play 15+ in year one. Concerns over pace and had a long think about Hansen, but Gumby is the man.

4. Lachlan Hansen (Brisbane)

Had Selwood in their sights, but once again Carlton has thrown them off. Cannot ignore the hole in their defence and Hansen is a great fix. They are rapt.

5. Joel Selwood (Port)

Have had their eyes on him for a long time and he will go perfectly with burgoyne and Pearce. Still a steal and number 5 and a surer bet as a player than Gumbleton.

6. Mitch Thorp (hawth)

A player this big and mobile will complement their midfield brigade. Can play 4 different positions well and will allow them to settle Roughhead as a backman if they want. They really wanted Leuenberger but they have dreams of Thorp becoming Pavlich.

7. Leroy Jetta (Geelong)

The Cats needs pace. Corey, Bartel, Enright can all get the ball and while they have Varcoe and Tenace this is a chance to give themselves a great pacey midfield option long term and in the short term play G.Ablett in the middle while Jetta lurks around goals.

8. James Sellar (collingwood)

Hadn't thought too much about him and had planned on Boak, but cannot resist. Will option up a lot of options for them and will rotate in forward line and ruck with Fraser. Plans in a bit of disarray and don't have long until next pick

9. Travis Boak (St. Kilda)

Trump the pies and take this class machine. Saints are looking to build a midfield as good as the Eagles and with a fit ball and Boak on board they will be a step closer. Thought about Reiwoldt, but still hoping Kosi will be OK.

10. Shane Edwards (Collingwood)

Missed out on Boak but they are not disappointed with Edwards. Adds speed and class to their slowish midfield.

11. Nathan Brown (Bulldogs)

Need key position defenders and a great chance to pick one up. Also has enough pace to not make them stagnant in the backline given their running game.

12. James Frawley (Melbourne)

The Dees see Frawley as a fullback option as they are wary of Carroll maintaining form. Already have one of the best young backmen in Rivers, hope to form a good combo in years to some

13. Tom Hislop (Richmond)

Tallish midfielder with good pace who will help out the Tigers running brigade. Is able to attack the ball which will be needed as Johnson midfield role declines. Tiger fans will end up loving him.

14. Ben Reid (Adelaide)

Strong overhead, good speed and skills - reid is the type of versatlie player that Craig will like. They are hoping he will provide them with a long term forward option

15. Jarryd Allen(Sydney)

Thinking forward they will need a backman and they think Allen is the man. Big, strong and good mark plus he moves OK.

16. Jack Reiwoldt (West Coast)

Very suprised he fell this far but also very happy. Reiwoldt is an immediate option to play senior football and could do some damage as a third forward in their premiership tilt.

17. David Armitage (Carlton)

Over the moon he has fallen this far and makes them even happier with their number 1 selection. Will add more hardness to their midfield and Murphy will be smiling at his selection

18. Mitchell Brown (Essendon)

Had planned to take Collard if they had got Hansen, but now decided to go with versatile tall in Brown. See him as a Lucas type and will wait and see which position they want him him (forward or back) but they think he will make a good backman

19. Clayton Collard (Carlton)

Blues jump on Collard and starting dreaming of their midfield in a couple of years. They now have a great young mix of midfielders and have secured a ruckman to feed them all. Collard, Murphy and Simpson will provide some class delivery to Fevola for the next 7-8 years.

Collard is Aboriginal, therefore sheedy will snap him up before Mitch Brown - especially since they landed Mal Michael.
