He is a bloody good batsman. Australia hardly have a tail, even Pidge can bat alright.

How good is this bloke bowling?

Absolutely fantastic.

Does anyone think he looks like Gary Sinise off CSI NY?

Everyone is back on the bandwagon?

Strange how so many people were on his back when selection time was near. The guy is all class, and a great bloke off the field.

Still don't rate him that highly.
And yeh I know you will all turn on me for saying that, but he's not that good.

No ********! I was the only one he supported his inclusion in this match about a month ago and noone agreed with me. Look at him now. Awesome bowling and Excellent batting!

well seeing as I don't see much cricket other than in the aust matches, and I hadn't mentioned anything of him previously. I can comment I would think.

This is the first time I have seen him. I actually wanted Mitchell Johnson in, for eye candy.

All I was doing was commenting on his bowling today. Can't someone appreciate a good bowling spell???????

Weird place this!

i'd still prefer Tait.
Tait and Lee opening the bowling is a deadly combination.

If you don't mind me asking, are you m or f?

dunno too many guys who would say they wanted eye candy in the test team. hehe

Yea true, lol.
Would have preferred
Tait, Lee, Johnson
than
McGrath, Clark, Lee
personally.

They asked whether you were male or female because you support Collingwood.

If you supported any other team, bar Port Adelaide, they would've assumed you're a heterosexual female.

Wasn't happy about Clark getting the nod, but I'll have to admit he's been very good so far, and I don't think the others could have done any better so seems like the selectors may have got it right.

Still hold the opinion that he is a nothing selection

i'd still prefer Tait.
Tait and Lee opening the bowling is a deadly combination.

Thank god you are not selecting the side then... Poms would be 0-100.

Clark's control and subtle movement was very impressive, but he's been doing this all summer so no real surprise.

Clark was the pick of the bowlers last night.

His bowling was McGrath like. His grouping was superb, brilliant spell of bowling.

NWTYRX
25 Nov 2006, 07:20
he can make 100 and take 20 wickets for the match, but he'd still be a dud

starz
25 Nov 2006, 07:23
Tait was the standout quick last year statistically and otherwise, Clark is less entertaining also.
Poms get themselves out anyway.

Johnson's 54-run knock > Clark's 39-run knock ;)

Like I said; Clark will bowl McGrath like figures, which is commendable, but would like to see some much needed variety into our attack. He deserves all the credit he's getting though, because he continues to bowl a nice tight line and length and he's trained pretty hard to get out on the pitch and play Test cricket.

All the best to him - I hope he bowls well and gets a few wickets today.

same. don't rate him at all. he's a bowler and an average one at that, who cares if he hit's a 30 occasionally.

Strangely enough, that Tufnell bloke put it best - why would they fancy their chances against someone who bowls just like Glenn McGrath? They would've much rathered Tait or Johnson.

3-21 from 14 overs... not too shabby.

His control was fantastic, subtle movement and was nippy... proved why his spot should not have been in doubt.

MacGill will be the only bowler to dislodge him this summer on a turning track.
