that would have to be the closest finish ever in a first class match in Australia that didn't yield an outright result.

Needed 207 runs of 46 overs, New South Wales finished at 9/202. Stuart Clark and Matthew Phelps needed 59 runs from 43 balls for the last partnership, and went for the win, falling agonisingly short. It takes real guts though to go for the victory from that position.

Well done to Brad Haddin on his maiden first class ton. Him and Turner put on a very good partnership towards the end of the NSW innings which put them into the match.

Stuart Clark had a big match taking 8 wickets for 148. Martin Love scored 226 runs for the match, including 42 in Qld's dismal innings of 120. What a mighty collapse from Queendland losing 7/33 :O:O

New South Wales needed to go for the win, as 2 points wasn't going to help them. Can they still make the final??
