Dave Garic has been voted back in, much to the delight of many. Well done dockerdave.

Dave beat Les (second) and Hasler (third)

According to Schwab the club must aim higher and win the flag, a preliminary final is not good enough, simple as that.

Tarrant and Solomon were interviewed by Shaw. Both have settled in much easier than they expected to and were attracted by the opportunities presented to them from the club. Solomon ranked Freo in the top two in terms of most exiting clubs in the AFL and both were atrracted to the opportunity of helping Pav/Murphy/Farmer in the forward line, Parker in defence and the midfield etc. Tarrant's injury has been treated, and he's back on the training track.

The development players (eg Dunn, Warnock etc) commenced training on the 13th of November, the preliminary final team qwere not required for training until the 27th of November. However many of those started their training before that.

As far as the questions were concrened, one member of the Peel Supporters Club wasn't impressed with the compulsory $11 public transport fee they paide on their membership, as their supporters group travelled to the game on their own charted bus and will continue to do so, and therefore they were paying for something they are not using. Unfortunately, Schwab and Hart showed compassion but their hands are tied as the WAFC has control over this situation and not the club.

Another was not very happy with the club not pursuing the Cockburn Stadium proposal, yet again the club's hands are tied on this one and the WAFC is in full control over this.

A Harbour Masters member was disgusted with the fact that Harbour Masters could only access one ticket per membership in their exclusive hour of ticket purchasing for finals matches. Yet with 36,000 members wanting to get access to a ticket, it seems quite understandable why he could only get one ticket per membership. Went on and complained about not being able to take family along to the game, paying big money for his membership etc. The club said that the AFL was in full control over this situation as they sort out all finals ticket purchasing issues in regards to who and when can purchase. Hands tied for the club.

Thanks for the update Azza.

Does anyone know how many harbour masters there are? From memory they forked out $500 in '94 IIRC.

$500 was for Quay Club. Harbour Masters was a fair bit more.

I was a Quay Clubber - and with regards to finances at that point in our lives (and the fact it was 1994), I think it was more like $100 - we couldn't have afforded $500 back then. From memory, the Harbour Masters were $1000.

Quay Club was only $50....I remember as a student at the time even that was a bit of a stretch given you really didn't get anything for it.

Can you recall what kind of things the harbour masters were promised?
I'm sure they didn't get value for money.

Oh, sorry, thought it was that much. Back in 2003 when we made the finals for the first time, a few people dug out the original brochures to see what was promised, as generally they were either being honoured (pre-match functions, seating preferences) or were to do with finals tickets, which obviously hadn't come into play yet.

Not sure if anyone has ever posted a scan of the original brochures though.

I can't remember what the HMs got back then... I just know we couldn't have afforded to even think about it...

And Rob, you're right - it was $50 for an individual, $100 for a family. HMs were probably the same - $500 for the individual, $1000 for a family.

At the time, we didn't really care what we got, it was a case of wanting to be in on the ground floor and taking out the level of Foundation Membership that we could afford.

That was where the oft-told story came in, of the (now) 12 year old daughter who was a member of Freo before she had her birth certificate. Hubby was so keen to get membership organised he went down to those temporary offices in Market St before heading to the Registry Office to register the birth of his first child!
