well,with essendon running their champions of essendon competition to see who are the best 25 players over the course of our history. i thought it would be interesting to do some voting here and hopefully get supporters from every club on bigfooty to join in too.
ill run the first 4 groups over the next 5 days with the poll ending monday and allow people to vote on them.
heres a brief run down on how it works as published in the bomber magazine.
the plaer who finishes first in his group will go into the top 25,2nd and 3rd will go back into the nominee pool and the 4th placed player will be eliminated.
with 15 player already in the top 25,there will be 30 players who will then be divided up into 6 groups of 4 players and2 groups of 3 players. the highest vote getters in each group will then go into the top 25 and the rest will be omitted. this then means there will be 23 players in the top 25. 2 spots will be remaining.
there will be 2 wild-card entires into the final 25 players,im not sure how that will work as yet,perhaps someone can come up with some ideas:)
once the final 25 is done,5 or so people from here will choose the order and see how close we end up to the official champions of essendon competition. pm me if you would like to be one of the final selectors:)
