If you could have just 1 band or act re-form or come back for just 1 last show who would you have?
Personally, going past the obvious (Zepplin, Hendrix etc) I'd choose Faith No More. I saw them when they had just released Album of the Year, they still rocked the place but it wasn't the Faith of old.
I'd get the old five back together - Mike, Mike, Roddy, Billy & Jim and play most of the stuff off Angel Dust.
A pub gig with Jeff Buckley would rate a close second.
Does it matter if there dead ?

Course not. Its your own opinion.
A young Doors would be great to see. Dale Lewis and me down the front smoking a spliff enjoying the celebration of the snake!!:p

Nope, sorry, can't do it!

Hunters and Collectors doing all their really old stuff.
ya know the material I'm talking about 1982-85 stuff from their debut Album (self titled), the fits self titled Ep, the Yellow Towtruck Ep, the Fireman's Curse Lp and the 42 Wheels LP
love that music, used to love the band too - before they went all "Rock Star" on me that is !
cheers
Tough one. I think I'd say either the MC5 or Stooges or Velvet Underground in the late 60's, or The Stone Roses (90's).

Umm what he said. Add Blue Oyster Cult in their prime (have seen them in their twighlight and they were awesome)

Ditto
If Kurt Cobain came back to life that would be mad.
FNM would be right up there too.

I would have loved to have seen Joy Division play. Running them to a close second would be Serge Gainsbourg.

Jeff Buckley or Nirvana. Can't split them.

I'm going to use my vote for a full-on Beach Boy reunion (even with the dead ones).
That way Lioness will have to stop and think of someone else.:D

Frank Zappa!
If there's one gig I would love to go to, it would be Thin Lizzy at Slane Castle 1981.
Possibly the best Irish rock band ever, playing the best natural venue in the world.
To warm up the crowd they had an up and coming band called U2 playing support
Phil Lynott.....Legend

FINE.
I want an all-star show of The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, The Honeys , Gary Usher, The Sunrays and Bruce & Terry. All MC'd by Roger Christian.
Perfect.
I forgot to mention how I want my Beach Boys lineup to look:
*Brian Wilson
*Carl Wilson
*Dennis Wilson
*Al Jardine
*Glen Campbell
*Blondie Chaplin
*Ricky Fataar
*David Marks
Oh yeah and Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. ;)
If i could see one gig that has already occured i would have to say The Prodigy at Glastonbury 95. According to people who went, its not only by far the greatest Prodigy gig of all time, but right up there with the best live performance of all time.
It was a time before Fat of the Land was released. They played stuff off Experience and Jilted Generation and according to the people that saw it, everyone was jumping around and dancing...they reckon its the most awe inspiring sight theyve ever seen. I wish i was there!!!
gigs that already occured would be:
Incubus- New York 2001
Incubus- Melbourne 2001
Nirvana- Milan 1994 (final nirvana show ever)
Nirvana- Meloburne 1992

Lioness, you know that I am completely in love with you or else I wouldn't trouble myself with taking my time to degrade The Beach Boys. ;) :D
Looks like you found a way to mention them in this thread inspite of my "preemptive strike" :)
Set a good example toward your children. Peace and have a good weekend.
PS At least consider Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. :D

Babe, I can find a way to mention them in ANY situation. :D And awwwwwww you're just too sweet to me. ;) But you will never NEVER back me into a corner so I can't mention them. :D
Deep Purple with Ritchie Blackmore in (preferably MK III line up), or Rainbow.
The Beatles and Guns and Roses.
