can't go past the premiership captain who used to run around moorabbin at training bouncing two footballs at the same time. :D

He isn't in even in the same class as most of the other players mentioned.
As a player yes, but as a St Kilda legend definitely not.
Darryl Baldock would have to be our biggest legend. Trevor Barker will always be regarded as a saints legend and I think it will be very likely that Harvey, Burke and Loewe will all be regarded as legends in the future if they are not already.

I cannot believe that Lockett was chosen by anyone (and you are all entitled to your opinion, i'm just stunned), above the likes of Ross Smith, Verdun Howell, Baldock, Trevor Barker, Harves, Burkey, Loewe and anyone else i have forgotten about. Every single one of these greats have given their blood for our club, have been disciplined, courageous and true leaders of the Saints. To have an undisciplined (how many times did he get suspended while playing whith us???) player like Lockett (whose football ability is in no doubt), who left the Saints in one of their most vulnerable times, knowing full well what would have happened to the club if they had not been successful in the near future, is, in my opinion, a joke. Legends of the Saints are born not only on the field, but are also marked by what they do outside of the football ground. The likes of Barker, Harvey and Loewe, have, i'm sure, all received substantial offers to play for other teams, yet all refused out of love for the club. I'm sure Smith, Howell and Baldock would also have been highly sought after players, but money in those days was not the deciding factor it is today. It is these players who deserve sainthood, not people like Lockett.
