Robbie Williams:eek:
I was dragged to the Robbie Williams concert in Brisbane last night. Dragged was the word as well, but I had to relent. The good wife had taken me to see Bernard Fanning, U2 and Billy Joel in the last 6 weeks, couple that with 3 days at the GABBA Test, and apart from being a little poorer,:o the least I could do was go and see Robbie with the good lady.
Well, imagine my surprise, then joy when he took his jacket off during the first song and he is wearing a brand new Lions jumper.
He wore it throught the concert until he came back for the encore in a Robbie Williams jacket. He joked about how he had spent the night before with "some AFL players" and said that he was scared of Browny, as he was so huge.
Anyway, the show was actually very good. He asked the 50,000 odd crowd if they were Lions fans, at which trhey went wild for him again, and he told them all the "OK then, they are my team as well"
Lang Park rocked by a bloke wearing a Lions jumper. Now it wasn't a bad night out after all.:D

Ahh that'd be right - he wore it last night..........
Can't see it happening 2 nights in a row..........though if he did? LL and I would be in raptures I think! Better get a move on soon though.......have to meet some folks at the Caxton for Lunch then head off for a long afternoon at Suncorp Stadium!
Getting a few famous folk in the stable now aren't we? Bette Midler has a number 1 jumper with her name on it, Neil Diamond is a self confessed supporter, and now Robbie!!!

Was Robbie given a spare old AAPT one, or a new Vodafone one?
New Vodafone one, my mother went last night lol and told me all about it.

He didn't wear it tonight but am happy that he never wore a broncos, reds, roar or bulls one tonight - loved the dig he had at warney...

Wow - What a fantastic night! To be honest I think the excitement of him wearing a Lions jumper would have been enough to see me faint where we were down in the pit - talk about HOT - I don't think I 've ever drunk as much water in my life as I did yesterday!
No Lions jumper last night.......just a BLOODY AWESOME performance!

That jumper Luke Power, Possum and Bradshaw are wearing is disgraceful, and Black looks like his bulked up (in the arms anyway).

I would not get too worried about it Toddy. It was a private game played at the Gabba. Closed doors. No press and the only people watching were those in the know. Browny and Beau watched. Hence the mention of Browny being a big bloke, or words to that effect, by Robbie Williams on Wed nights concert.
I know the bloke who refed the game. He gave me that pic.

And that, imo, is why so many men reckon they can't stand him. Feelings of inadequecy I reckon. I mean seriously gotta be every blokes 'only could dream of' moment. Stick his hands down his dacks and say 'can you feel me' out loud, and have 50,000+ people scream 'yes'!! Egotistical? Yep. But hey Robbie has never been known for his modesty - hell he even named an albumn 'the ego has landed'.

I like him danni. He seems a knockabout bloke in an odd type of way. Heck he had a kick with the Lions and then wore the colours on stage.
I am impressed and I am not sure the blokes on here have bagged him either.
To be honest sticking his hand down his pants and grabbing his dinkle is not my music scene. Lets be honest if he looked like thishttp://www.owhc-hockey.co.uk/Herman%20Munster.JPG
and stuck his hands down his pants while singing the music he does would you still be loving it?:p:p.
It is nothing to do with his act, caberet I might add, I am just indifferant to his music. I would rather see Ed Kuepper at the local bar to be honest. But as I always say about music each to his own.

Ahh yes BUT, you have to take into account here..............he may have stuck his hand below the belt line......but what did he or didn't he do from that point on?
He does what he does coz it gets a MAJOR reaction. I (well WE but I don't know if LL was looking at what was going on or not at the time) were close enough to see that this little action was probably the biggest part of the ACT all night. Just coz the hand went below the belt line doesn't mean what folks thought he was doing was actually doing! It was vrey interesting actually, watching what he did - well actually didn't - do, and how the crowd reacted to it. Not only the crowd on the night, but in their summaries/reports on forums the next day.
I can guarantee you this, if any of us could shove our fingers down our belt line, leave them sitting our lower tummy, and then giggle our elbows to get the response he did and the dollars that go with it............then we'd all be suffering from tennis elbow.............or 'waistband elbow' as the case may be.

Nah you got it. I may be old, but I'm not a nun. Amazing how jiggling an elbow can create the illusion of moving a hidden hand.
Not wishing to dispel any myths by the way.
Mr Sex-On-Legs is still more apt a name than Robbie. That said, I don't know of ANYONE that would even touch the bloke with a 10ft barge pole unless he'd been dipped in a vat of chlorine at the very least.
Problem there is the stregth of chlorine required would be enough to even eat his tattoos off.............and without them he'd certainly loose a major part of his appeal.
