Steve Waugh has been bowled for a quacker by the 'frog in a blender' man, Paul Adams. If Steve Waugh fails in his next Test innings, expect the usually sycopahntic Australian media to begin to question Waugh's future.
Start to question it! I take it you haven't been reading to many articles in the papers lately, they already are, as well as his over-rated brother.
Mark Waugh's stats have never lived up to the reputation have a look for yourself. He has the lowest average out of the batsmen (Gilli included) and a highest score of only 140 in over 100 test, suggest he can't concentrate properly to me.
Both waughs have been part of middle order collapses in almost every test this summer.
How many times have we gone from 0/200 to 5-6/250 (then make 400 anyway).
Mark Waughs record was worse than slaters was when he got dropped, no-one argued that decision.
Our middle order was our strength for a long time, now its our biggest weakness.
Drop the Waughs.
promote Martyn to 4. Bring in Darren Leahman at 5 and have a look at someone new at 6 or play five bowlers. If this Watson is as good an allrounder as they say then play him at 7 and Gilli at 6.

Good point. Virtually every time Hayden/Langer have had a 200+ start, Australia have been on the verge of wasting it by losing 5 wickets quickly, only for the Milo man to save the day.
well tahts Steve Waugh for ya!! The last 2-3 seasons basically all he does is either score a 100, or get out for under 10. Its quite wierd...once he gets over 10 you know hes gonna have a big innings, but more often than not his innings go: 5, 0, 9, 143*, 9, 1, 123, 8, 100, 7, 0 etc etc
