Just to rub it in further for the tourists there bowling plans somehow ended up in ABC radio's hands outlining how they TRY and get each Australian batsman out.

Matthew Hoggard had some funny responses.

Thanks, very interesting. Most of those plans did work.

They are pretty obvious plans though. Most of the general public know the areas that the Australian batsman are a chance to be dismissed however.

Can't believe they aren't trying to get Ponting to front-foot cover drive. Bond and Fleming left a gap in cover a couple of years back and he would often knick it.

When was the last time you saw Ricky Ponting cover drive, ala Hussey?

Yeah your right, but it is the English bowlers trying to make these plans successful.

I really like matthew hoggard as honest as the day is long. BBC reporter ''is there going to be any action taken'' Hoggard ''how would i know i've been on the field all day''.

Well they are fair enough tactics, good to have them written down to study so you know what you are doing, shouldn't have been published though

I cant understand why they dont alter them if they arent working. Symonds was not prepared to hook/pull. He was happy to duck the short ball. Why then keep 2 out. Wouldn't it be better to bring one in and intice him and hope the single fielder is in the right position?

Advantage 1 - extra player in the field (as 2 guys back there were doing jack!)
Advantage 2 - May start to play shot and get out caught by the 1 fielder.
