Making this post for the kids of the diamond valley.... any comments of the stars of the future and who we should be keeping a eye on...
josh ernest from eltham is one of the best young talents i hav seen come thro the system in quite a few years. is smart, balanced and is strong on both sides of his body. extremely unlucky not to hav been picked up as a first round draft pick.

The problem lads is that because of the water restrictions your season will start in June, you will play each team only once. Fact and don't let anyone tell you anything else....straight from the Council chambers
You wil all be pretty fit by then.

i think you are just scare mongering. have been speaking to a number of amateur clubs who use council grounds and they anticipate their season starting on time or at the worst a week or two delayed.

My word straight from the councillors themselves. The league knows but are keeping it hush so players and clubs don't disrupt their preseasons.
At best clubs will be sharing grounds(that have exemptions) and playing Friday nights, Saturday's and Sundays.
I am not scare mongering, just stating facts, Level 4 will be enforced March 1st.

Anton Woods will be lucky to play senior footy at Diamondcreek a bit small. Josh Caddy from Eltham is a good chance at having a crack at afl. A lot of good junior players dont fulfill there potential as the older you get the harder it gets.
I have seen a little bit of young Caddy and the youong fella looks like it has wat it takes but as you said before a lot of gun juniors dont fulfill the potiental.
could anyone here tell me how Tindarra Hood and Peter Hood go from Preston RSL and are they brothers?

Josh Stavely. hes an absoulte gun with judd-like skills and co-ordination, but he isnt too tall...but it shouldnt matter cos hes a gun.
Jamie Totino.
Micheal Ciancosi.
Anton Woods should make it.
Jesse donaldson is dangerous and a very good player who won the goal kicking in 06, but he didnt get slected for knights due to his height.
Not sure of his first name but people say hes better than Anton. hes last is Wikowski.

Anthony volpe from yarrambat one of the best players in the comp at under 17 level will take out the league B&F if he plays every game. His worst finishing in the comp B&F is 4th and that was last yr as a bottom ager and missing 4 games outa of 14. If you want to watch a young star go down and watch yarrambat 17's this season.

great to see adrian totino doing really well for knights.
totino has been one of the teams best players so far and is leading them in possies and clearances.
watch for josh stavely...he should make it.

west lalor couldn't go up to div 2 as they ended up thrid on the lew hall trophy at the end of the 14 rounds.
I have heard that alot of teams are stuggling for number's in the 17's.
This is also happening in the under 15's, i know that south morang, reservoir and keon park are short of numbers for the under 15's in div 3.The only team that i know is doing well with kids is north who have close tp 30 kids to choose from.

we have 2 teams this year...luckily though
yarrambat disposing of alphington today by 100+ points they r the team to beat right now in div 2. Whittlesea also had a massive 100+ point win over lalor thought its hard to see whittlesea getting over the top of yarrambat, who have 3 blokes that have completed a preseason at the northern knights who are the spine of the team.
Creek under 17s gave eltham a bath at plenty today. to prove the depth of the best under 17 gorup gonig around the seconds team over ran a disapointing west lalor by 2 goals. Be hard to beat the creek lads.

How did West Lalor look in Div 3, were they that bad or are your 2nd team pretty good?

How did the Pingers 2nd team look on Sunday?
first time i watched div 3 footy so yeah not sure weather they were bad or we were good. we'll find out in the coming weeks with a few more rounds.

Mill Park staring D2 in 2008 in the face, a once proud club becoming victim to "must play at a better club" to make the knights final squad..bullshit.. but try and convince parents
mill park 17's were once the best team in the comp and unbeatable... though ive never known for them to gel as a group they are definately a team of indiviuals that dropped off due to being over-rated

Apparently the Under 17's Mill park coach resigned last night...anyone confirm or deny, though it's a pretty firm rumour

Cody Johnstone plays in the under tens for Research. If ever i have seen talent in the lower age groups this kid would be the Rolls Royce can play anywhere runs like the wind and always kicks a goal or two a star to watch in the future.

Coming towards the business end of the season. Any ideas on which sides cold bring home the bacon in the 17's divisions? Diamo look far to good in Div 1. Whilst Div. 2 is gonna be close. Yarrambat hitting some form knocking off undefeated Whittlesea on the weekend... Also any ideas on B&F's?
young red headed boy from eltham..named Liam Hunt..not sure what age group but he dominates every game he plays..cousin of nick dal santo..definate kid to watch out for in the future.
UNDER 17s
yarrambat will b strong coming into finals with the likes of volpe, simpson and clymo they hav dominated the diamond valley for so many years it will b hard to see them get beaten.. they did have a slip up on the weekend losing to westpreston though if you were at the game you would see that most of the team were playing with hangovers.. wont be the case come finals time... im predicting whittlesea and yarrambat in the grand final with a very close finish. In Div 1 diamond creek look a class above the rest with the likes of michael rogneda leading the charge and some very classy bottom age players. Div 3, well who really cares about div 3 its most of the div 1 2nd teams and the skill level is terrible.
