View Full Version : Happy Feet
Its school holidays and I looking after my 7 year old niece today, so I decided to take her to see the new children’s movie ‘Happy Feet’ (that’s how I knew about Shrek The Third) today.
This movie is not just for children but also for adults as it was very enjoyable, almost as good as the Shrek movies and well worth the 90 odd mins it runs for.
4 stars out of 5 :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Think i might be going this weekend to see it. From the shorts that i have seen of it, it looks pretty good.
From all the reviews I read I thought it would be brilliant.
Was good, but don't go in with super high expectations... its not that good.
Robin Williams made the film, without his characters it would have been a bit of a snorefest.
Animation was very cool though.

Went to see it - Loved It :D
Bit ummm mushy for bloks in some parts but nothing to detract from the movie

Maybe I over rated it some what but it made my niece happy and she giggled all the way though it so that made me happy. She was happy for the rest of the day and that made my day a lot easier.

I liked it but I thought it lost its way a little in the last half hour. It got a bit over preachy and some scenes at the end were a little cringeworthy. Still good though, anything with singing and dancing penguins can't be bad

Thought it was pretty good, but I went in expecting singing and dancing, but there was just a bit too much for my liking

slightly disappointed, expected more...but then again i didnt have the faintest what the story was about before seeing it.
robin williams was the best. singing was pretty good also.
I thought the story was pathetic, even for a children’s film. It started off well, but the second half was very sloppy for mine.
Still, I hope it does well and many more first-classed Australian animated films follow.
And then give me a job.
went expecting to love it & hated it from the minute i saw blue eyes
i admit i've probabably beeen spoilt by march of the penguins
but little things like the eyes & the peter pan parody of mumble being the only penguin stuck at about age 12 while all his mates were suddenly adults really annoyed me
ramon & mates the only saving grace
1 star from me
if taking a young brother/niece etc " flushed away " is heaps better

I hate Robin Williams :thumbsd:
I quite enjoyed it, I thought it was a good, lighthearted show.
As an aside, for any Comic buffs out there, I believe the production designer was Mark Sexton of Bug 'n' Stump and the TISM comics fame

I went cause of the reviews, little too much dancing and singing, but i'd stillgive it 3.5.
You guys went to see the movie just to see the penguins? I mean, everyone loves penguins.
It looks fantastic visually, but how does it compare with other animated movies like Flushed Away, Shrek, Toy Story, The Incredibles, etc?

I haven't seen Flushed Away, but in terms of the other three you named it would be a little bit off the mark they set. But in my mind, not too far. I'd rate it ahead of A Bugs Life and Shrek 2.
It was also made in Australia.

Ending was tacked on and looked rushed. If it wasn't for the Williams characters, it would have been s borefest.
I gave it 6, nice message, but wrong crowd. Shrek, The incredibles and Toy story were better.
