Diego and Cozjak thought it out really bloody tough didn't they, Cozjak's face was very bruised and battered.

I'm suprised Diego didn't take Coz into a submission as he is the best at doing it? :confused:

Yes, it's up there. It was nothing short of brilliant.

Evidently, both fighters deserved the contract.

The Bonnar vs Griffin fight was awesome. I agree, great to see them both get contracts.

Already taken over imo. Most people dont even know who the heavy weight champion of the world is these days, however Chuck Liddel, Mirko Cro-Cop and fast becoming household names.

Boxing = :thumbsd:

MMA = :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

boxing will always be strong in the latino and black markets in the US but the simple fact is that mma is here to stay and will continue to get stronger

MMA will still be a 'fringe' sport for quite some time, although it *will* get bigger and bigger as people see it more and start to understand it. I've been watching MMA since UFC1 and it has changed a great deal in that time. Become far more professional and sanctioned. The current big names of the sport - guys like Mirko Cro Cop, Fedor Emelianenko, George St Pierre, Chuck Lidell and so on are world famous with fans of MMA. In fact at the heart of MMA (japan), they are treated like movie stars :)

Yet fans in the US don't know who they are unless they fight in the UFC. It's coming, but PPV numbers don't get near big fights for boxing. When the HW div for boxing gets it's act together then we'll see the gap again.

Hopefully HW boxing gets it's act together in the next couple of years, a guy 2 watch out for is Alonzo Butler he will be the next big thing. I think UFC appeals to younger kids and teenagers heaps which will grow and grow.

It seems to me that people outside the MMA world know more about Mirko and Liddell than Fedor
Yet Fedor is the no1 in MMA

I hope so, I love boxing. I like most combat sports in general.

Yes that's true. But I think it's more to do with Fedor then the fans. He's very private. He's only now starting to market his brand in Japan. Crocop has been doing that for years.
