I saw a thread on Sherdog about 8 fight dream cards. Some were ********e and some were really good. I had to lol at people putting Griffin,Tank etc on there.

Heres my go:

Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlei - Obvious choice.

Big Nog vs Cro Cop - Nog can take a beating and still come back and win, I really think Nog has a big chance of winning this fight.

Matt Lindland vs Paulo Fihlo - Numbers 1 and 2 at MW imo. Would make for an excellent ground war. I love Lindlands attitude to fighting.

Takanori Gomi vs Gilbert Melendez - Is the obvious choice after Gomi's victories. Extremely exciting fight.

Sean Sherk vs Shinya Aoki - Classic ground war. A ultra powerful wrestler versus the ultra technical submission specialist.

Barnett vs Fedor - A big big test for Fedor, Unlike Nog Barnett can power himself in and out of submissions and has a unique style and is also a big heavyweight.

Dennis Kang vs Anderson Silva - 2 really well rounded guys, Very even contest on the feet or the ground.

GSP vs Diego - Is Diego the real deal? Has good wins but its clear that the top 3 at WW are lightyears ahead of anyone. This would make it a clear top 4 and the most competitive division around.

Right now, Tyson vs Tank Abbott, i reckon that'd be a decent fight.

I tried for a bit of a UFC/Pride showdown night as that would hold a lot of interest for me. I also tried to include my favourite fighters. Regardless though, I reckon it would make an awesome night of fights.

Fedor v Crocop This is unfinished business IHO. Crocop was the legit challenger but moved to UFC where he will purée Silvia’s liver.

Shogun v Wandi. Shogun moved to heavy weight because he wouldn’t fight his team mate in Silva for the title. Would have loved to see this fight and we almost had it at the 2005 GP. Damn you Ricardo Arona.

Ricardo Arona v Quinton Jackson. A rematch to follow up on that amazing slam knockout. Arona is bitter about that. He says he was knocked out when Jackson’s head hit his chin which is technically a head but.

Ronaldo Souza vs Anyone. If you don’t know jacare yet get on you tube and have a look. His 2003 fight he was really raw and couldn’t box. But this guy is the best BJJ fighter I’ve ever seen. Will be a force in the MMA world in a year or two if he chooses to peruse it.

B.J. Penn vs Diego Sanchez. Time to see if the Nightmare can step up.

GSP vs Matt Hughes. Simply to see GSP wipe the floor with him again.

Gomi vs Gilbert Melendez as Presti said, and you need a lightweight in there.

Chuck Liddell vs Dan Henderson. Just because.
