View Full Version : Garry Odonell On SEN
For those that can get to a radio or who are interested, Gary will be on SEN sometime this afternoon.
They haven't mentioned a time, its 3.52pm now, but i assume it will be soonish
Sorry this is a bit late, but did anyone catch what was said?
I listened to it, and was pretty much the usual stuff they talk about.
Talk without really saying anything.
Except, one thing Garry did say was that Mal Michael has been a very positive influence around the club and somewhat of a General in the backline.
Apparantly, his experience is shining through and he has been directing traffic, terlling players where to run to and acting as somewhat of a backline coach whilst in game.
Very good to hear imo and will be of great benifit as the season unfolds.
IF Mal can stay injury free, and he has hardly ever been injured, he will be a massive bonus to our club.

Mal is a huge inclusion to our backline because he frees the runnign type players such as smokey, nlm and bradley to play a more of a loose man in defence type role.. The leadership skills are a bonus!

I dont think we need to free up anyone in the back half at the present time. We already have:
Bradley, NLM, McPhee, Welsh, MJ, Heffernan, Bolton, McVeigh, Cole, Winderlich, Nash etc, etc

I think you've missed the point. They're not talking about how many players who can play that rebounding role, they're saying that having a defensive rock like Mal back there will allow them more confidence to run off and create.

MM makes teammates walk tall, he gives us hope. If he stays fit, this will go down as one of the best deals of all time.
