Which popular movie character is better?
Tyler Durden for mine.
Na, Captain Jack Sparrow for me.

Totally different characters. One is a double character from a novel commenting about consumerism and and machoism, and the other is a pirate from a Disney franchise. Durden has better lines and is a more interesting character.
It's like asking about the films which is better fight club or pirates, fight club obviously.

So you start by saying how different they are and then go and compare them anyway?
I think you can't compare them. They're both very good characters in their own right.
I do love Captain Jack Sparrow though, one of my favourite ever characters (and movies). :thumbsu:

Well since the op asks who is better, I tried to tackle the question, even if it is a bad comparison. There's no point saying they're different, the op asks who is better.

Jack Sparrow is a good character but how dare anyone compare POTC to Fight Club.
Fight Club is one the greatest films ever made. It defied a generation. It is a once a decade picture.
Pirates is the most overated bunch of garbage of all time. The only thing exists because of Johnny Depp. The whole movie does not have one original thought what so ever and yet for some reason people rate it as a masterpiece. Its a popcorn 2 hours of fun nothing more. How dare anyone compare anything in it to Fight Club its insulting

Captain Jack Sparrow is to characters what Fight Club is to movies.
Captain Jack beats Tyler, for mine.
I would go as far as to say it has been a good while since I've seen a character as enchanting as Cptn Jack.
