...I'd damn well shoot Alanis Morrisette in the head.
How bloody annoying is she? Do I give a f*ck what 21 things you want in a bloody lover? It doesn't matter, because your whiny voice, cruddy lyrics, rake-like body, and dog-like face ensure that any guy with that criterium would never go for your Canadien self.
I hate you, I've always hated you, you make sh*t songs, sounds sh*t, look sh*t, and you're to demanding on the guys you want. Also, that song Ironic. Most of those things aren't irony - they are bloody bad luck! If it rained on my wedding day, I wouldn't call it irony. Maybe if I was a weatherman.
Just die, please.
If I ever see a shrink, I'll send you the bill. :o

I cannot shoot anyone at the moment. I left my shotgun at Cobain's house a decade ago. Haven't seen either one of them since.
Let's not take Alanis' 21 list too seriously. It's only a personal jab she is taking at me. I had 20 of those qualities, so she had to write a song listing the one area in which I am insufficient. ;)
Would just 1 bullet kill all the members of Greenday though? :D

That mumbling stuff she does, its not singing. Why doesn't she do a Jewel and publish lame poetry? Leave the singing to the musically gifted.
What also annoys me is that the all new Triple M classifies her music as rock. I just don't get it.

Did her song kill off ANSETT ?
There's an easier way to kill off an international singer.Have them perform at the LOGIES.
We haven't heard Ricky Martin since he performed last year.
This year its the chick whose breasts are small & humble -Shakira.
That'll end her career.:D

Incubus have done a whole round of tricks. Started off as a funk/porn band blended in with hard rock....moved more into hard rock on their major label debut....then experimented with Make Yourself with a more groovier sound...and Morning View is almost like a Make Yourself II
But i agree...Sugar Ray did the same thing first

Actually, while I'm not totally sure, but I thought SLH's joke was a very sly dig at Jod23. Long time music board regulars know that Jod seems to get personally offended if you dare slag off any bands that he likes (myself and Jim Morrison, BSA and Michael Jackson, Olmy and Jod's favourite guitarists). Funnily enough, if he slags off a band that you like, well, he kind of expects you to go along with his little joke (Jod vs Darky on heavy metal, you guys and Incubus).
Although I've been on Bigfooty for a looong time, I've only just checked out the music boards in the last 3-4 weeks, therefore having no idea if these guys are taking the p1ss or not.
Thanks for clearing that one up Shinners. :)

Just think of Jod23 as the music board's answer to Dan26. He has no sense of humour, no sense of proportion, gets into long winded arguments where he confuses "fact" with "opinion", and plays the "you're only saying that because you hate me" card whenever he gets cornered. :D

Dont really like Nickelback, Creed i do like but im not arguing the point that there music is for the masses. The Chair are pretty original and always changing there style, remember they came out almost the same time as Nirvana etc...i think there first album was out in 94? Silverchair are one of australias top bands. A lot of guys hate them because all the chicks love Daniel Johns but if you cant see that the Chair are pretty talented then you've got probs.
Live i wont even argue with you about becuase you think there **** but i think there one of the most original, talented bands of the last 10 years or so. There album Throwing Copper is a masterpiece.
And Jebs...well Jebs are Jebs, take them how you will. I relate to there music and i think they have a diverse sound. I mean go and listen to something like Thought About It and then have a listen to Closing Time....Im not claiming Jebs to be the greatest band since the Beatles but they kick ass.
As for liking things that arent popular.....LOL. Are you seriously gonna sit there and tell me that im only cool if i listen to bands that arent popular??? LMAO.
What do you want me to do...throw any old name into Napster and just start listening to them because they have never been on the radio...gimme a break. Besides my fave band of all time arent even that popular, Jebs have never had a top 5 single or a number 1 album...

Not at all. Everyone likes popular bands...but im only asking...do you like anything at all that isnt a top 10 hit or that hasnt sold a truckload of records??
Most of the bands i like are big bands, but from ages ago. I only bands i like from the last decade pretty much are Live, Metallica, Offpsring (Ixnay, Smash, Ignition and ST) and Chilli Peppers, and that is more or less it, maybe the occasional song, but on a whole they are the only four bands i like, and generally i just dont like music of the last decade. (pretty unusual for a 17 year old, but i dont care)
Love all the big bands from the pre 90's like Led Zep, AC/DC, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Cold Chisel, Dire Straits, Doors, Guns n Roses, Jimi, Joan Jett, Kiss, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen, Floyd, INXS, Eagles.

not really into current music as i said, so dont know many unknown bands, and i wouldn't have a clue were to begin looking for unknown bands back from the 70's as almost all of the stuff from that era that lives on to today is the classic stuff.

A band that doesnt get any credit that i absolutely love is Marcy Playground. Had one hit with Sex and Candy a few years back but apart from that not many people know who they are when im talking about them. Have got a couple of there albums and there stuff is really cool.
Dig the Spooks...Rap/Hip Hop band...nobody seems to know who they are but they kick ass. Liked Eskimo Joe before the rest of the country did.
