Very lightly. I actually held back on the appraisal of some of your players - you were dreadful.

Anyway, maybe you need a swift kick up the rear... ;)

From someone who was their in Carlton's defence I'd say the signs of the game weren't good but at the end of the day you've got an ageing list. Come round 1 most of your regulars will be back taking pressure off some of the least experienced players who played against some educated backman. Time is what Carlton needs to rest some of it's players, I think you'll see a different Home and Away but you will struggle if Whitnall is out.

Perhaps but you made up for it with close to slanderous statements about others. Appraisals such as "dead set hack" when he only played 5 minutes on the ground and "Pickering is a log", "Softest game by any player"? I think you need to tone down a bit there, I mean it is a match report, not the Victoria Park outer. Just my opinion though....

Agreed. I unfortunately didn't see the game... but the report on Bradley was pretty harsh... was he really THAT bad?

Yes! That's why I wrote it. He looked like a first gamer with the way he went about manning up or going for the hard ball - not to mention when he absolutely shat himself when he had the ball and Crawford put pressure on him. He just simply gave it up.

P.S. If any of you were actually at the game, then you could comment on how harsh I was. Since none of you were, I wouldn't. You didn't see how bad you really were...

I don't have a problem in you saying we were bad - go right ahead (not that you need encouragement from me ;)) "Dead set hack" is not constructive criticism though Brett. Two of the players you singled out have hardly played senior footy and are naturally going to look lost at the top level. It doesn't make them hacks or mean they will be crap in four years time. For instance, Aaron Hamill used to run around like the biggest headless chook there ever was. He was just raw - not a hack though.

:D We discussed how this review was to go down before the game and in light of a 79 point drubbing, I think almost any amount of criticism was acceptable. Terminology might be debatable but we all get a clear picture of how things went down. We also get to see the real passion of Carlton football fans come out fighting in light of the criticism. Great stuff everybody! ;):D
