OK I think that Buffy the vampire slayer is the dumbest name ever
for a TV show. The number of people that hear the name and think rubbish.
It could have ruled the world

Of course Buffy is easy, top 5 best TV shows.
Who could forget, the dream, Joyce’ death, the silent ep, the musical ep and the other one … what was it called.

Joss is a god. But not a perfect god
no… he’s one of those Greek ones with feet of clay.

And so to the fight I had on Aussie day about what is the worst Buffy ep.

I did think it was Buffy’s first day at College (or Uni) but that ones has grown on me.

Go Fish seemed silly, but not bad.

Buffy drinks beers and becomes a cave girl was the out and out winner until I found out it was an effort by the studio to get out of putting on Free “just say no to drug” Government ads, by telling the writers to put the G mans message in the script.
So the line,
“Buffy what did we learn about beer ?”
“Foamy” I see in a different light now.

So I think that just leaves the Dead Inca Mummy girl.
It really just doesn’t make that much sense.
You can touch an museum exhibit?
Exchange student with a Steamer trunk big enough to hide a body in?

What do you think?

Oh season 6 was the season too.

Oh season 6 was the season too.

The Silent Episode, titled Hush was probably the best episode.

There are quite a few candidates for worst episode, I thought quite a bit of season 5 was poor, I didn't like it too much.

Season 4 at College was pretty terrible. So different from the first three seasons at high school, it really is noticeable how different it is.

The episodes you have mentioned are pretty spot on, Inca Mummy Girl is pretty poor. But overall, there are not too many very bad episodes, it is easily one of the best shows ever.

Anne, the opener to Season 3, was pretty poor from memory.

Crap name, crap show and Sarah Michelle Gellar is both overrated and a crap actress.

I don't about worst episode, but season 4 was the worst season. The whole Adam thing. Season 5 wasn't the best, but it didn't just drift along like season 4 - it had the whole Glory and Dawn thread throughout. Season 6 wasn't that great either, with Buffy sulking through most of it, but then again 'Once more with feeling' redeems a lot.

No Buffy is great show.

I never watched on TV, the name put me off.
But a Joss crazied friend trapped me one long wet weekend and
I saw the light.

If you don't think it any book just look up the number of
books on it. Shakespeare experts, academics, and TV critic
declaring it the best show you've never seen.

I think because I saw it on dvd back to back you get the
in show references more, that waiting a week for the next ep.

SMG is an outstanding actress, OK she hasn't been in a blockbuster
of late but she work with Joss was amazing. The range of things she
was asked to do, and the high level of her perforance of a ever long
time was total professional.

In the commentry on the disc the director asked SMG to cry a single
tear for the shot. Then he explains that she cried out of the wrong eye,
as it was in shadow. She said not problem. She did a great read and
drops a single tear out of the right eye.
I was impressed

The Episode where Buffy gets a fast food job, and discovers the old lady eating the employees. Or something like that - the pace, the acting, the special-effects...everything was off in this episode, almost surreally so.

I don't know about season 5. I thought it was rubbish myself but then I recently rewatched the entire season over a couple weeks and it was actually pretty damn good. The death episode for Buffy's mom would easily be up there with the best in the series, and is one of the best episodes of TV I've seen on any show.
