Seven's new Sunday lineup, starting Feb 18:
6:30pm: Australia's Got Talent
7:30pm: Ugly Betty
8:30pm: Grey's Anatomy
9:30pm: What About Brian
Sunday has traditionally been a ratings disaster for Seven, so they're obviously throwing everything they've got at it. The only concern would be that using GA here is going to leave nothing big to replace Desperate Housewives mid-year.
Will this be enough to topple Nine's popular lineup of 60 Minutes and CSIs?
well there isn't a show there that i am interested in
Ugly Betty and Grey Anatomy should be unbeatable together, apart from the horrible lead-in.

Good call :thumbsu:
If I am around at the time when Grey's Anatomy is on, I'll tune in, other than that, I don't really watch it, but it is a top show, and the other shows don't interest me at all.
Give me Smallville on Channel 10 any day of the week
I'd back Grey's to win its slot, Brian to get slaughtered, the others to be competitive
Mid year's a big concern for Seven - they've only left Criminal Minds, Las Vegas, Crossing Jordan and some ridiculous number of seasons of TAR, and Bones is really the only show that's repeatable from their first half line up. Nine and Ten also have nothing new for the 2nd half but at least most of their shows repeat ok.

Family guy also returns at 10:30pm-11:00pm
Bring back "Where are they now", some of the segments on that show are nearly worth watching.

Australia's got Talent will bomb big time.

Seven's new Sunday lineup:
Afternoon: Footy
6:00pm: Seven News
6:30pm: Australia's Got Talent
7:30pm: Ugly Betty
8:30pm: Grey's Anatomy
9:30pm: What About Brian
The other important thing is that 60 Minutes no longer has access to the American versions celebrity interviews and segments. It won't be the same show.
There's a huge chance for many Australian households (especially Melbourne households) to turn on Ch. 7 and leave it on all day.
And people will watch Australia's Got Talent. 'Family' viewing, you see...

Get rid of the talent show.............
It will win the ratings - Brian wil get slaughted with some decent competition. It needs the lead in from GA to be moderately successful

Nine has bought back the rights from Ten (for US 60 Minutes content).

Maybe until BB starts again....and I'm sure 9 will have something up the sleeve.

I wonder if Nine are going to run that show with Siggie Thorton,Michael Slater,Brooke Hanson and co at 6.30 sundays. They're flogging it at the moment as "returning soon" and there's no other suitable timeslots available.

Interesting... Still a very different audience.
I reckon 60 minutes will beat Ugly Betty. GA should win its slot.
Does anyone know how seven are going to show football and V8 supercars simultaneously? They do have the rights to the supercars yes...

Does anyone know how seven are going to show football and V8 supercars simultaneously? They do have the rights to the supercars yes...The V8s will work around the AFL - either:
1:00 AFL
4:00 V8s
or V8s finish by 3 then the footy
(for the East coast, other states are used to live not meaning live)
there's only 5 clashes including New Zealand and Darwin which would normally fit that schedule anyway

Usually the 2 sunday races start at times like 11.30am and 3.30pm,which wouldn't suite ch7.The only other way they can do it is to run 2 races on the saturday when they clash with the footy and run the 3rd race at 12.30/1pm on a sunday as a lead in to the footy.
There's an announcement in the next 2 weeks by V8 Supercars about race times.

Grey's is the most overrated show in the history of television.

lineup is crap, 7 should have got the twilight game...
not to go off topic too much, but are Fri, Sat, Sunday night FTA movies becoming a thing of the past?

Ugly Betty to flop/change timeslots after 2-3 weeks. That's my prediction.

They are becoming less important certainly. Nine has settled CSI into the 8:30 slot, Ten concentrates on its big 7:30 Idol/BB show instead, and Seven just flounders. Pirates of the Caribbean rated like crazy when it premiered on a Sunday night, but otherwise there aren't too many examples of big-rating movies lately.

I could see that happening. I really don't know how thats rated so well in the US. Maybe I don't like it cos I'm not the teeny bopper 14 year old girl who loves celebrities, BB and idol.

Mid year shouldn't be a worry for Seven.
They'll have Friday night footy, a night they've lost over the past 5 years.
Sunday arvo footy will see a decent audience sticking for the news and give the midget's 'talent' show a leg up.
They also have a couple of new locally produced shows coming out during the year (including a show along the lines of The Code) to mid week fillers.
A bit of a re-jig of the mid week line up (like moving 24 away from a 10.30pm slot) to 9.30pm on a different and weaker night should see them winning 2-4 nights per week after Easter.
