Hi Guys i was just wondering if anyone else here is thinking about going to the wsop this year. I will be going with a few mates. Anyone else?

Far be it from me to provide the first serious response, but I don't have any plans to go to Vegas this year. My Dad is going to America in September (Collingwood supporter, so he won't be missing anything here), but I doubt I'll be joining him. Maybe next year. What would be good is to qualify for a WPT event and get a package.
Just reading some info on a Detroit casino. They play Omaha High-Low, that is, without an 8 qualifier. They also play the usual O8b.
Yeah I already sent my 10k over ;)

its either satelites for the noobs or the pros get the cash from their sponsors thats why you see them wearing all full tilt and pokerstars clothes

Yeah, lots of the entries come Via satellites or Pro Player Sponsors, but, there are some who still pay the 10k entry. I for one wont be 21 until the 2009 WSOP, and by then, if I have 25-30k lying around, I'll venture over and give it a shot

There won't be so many satellite entries this year (thanks to Dubbya). I would be very surprised if the field for the WSOP ME this year comes anywhere near last year's numbers.
