I'll stick with The Biggest Loser thanks. It's the only show I watch on a Sunday. Terrible TV night.

Bring back Sunday Night Movies....

I'll be giving it a go, prefer that to watching a bunch of overweight people crying, because they have to exercise to lose weight.

Did anyone watch Celebrity dog school? I'll be watching it in about 10 minutes.

It's cruel and ********

"Ugly" Betty is quite attractive in real life hence the cruel bit.

I don't like the show hence the ******** bit, might grow on me as some shows previously have, but I'm not a fan at the moment.

I think you will find all the "jokes" were in the ads. Too many shows and movies do that.

I missed it, cause I was watching the finale of Project Runway..

Buy geeze do ya THINK, there'll be an "encore' screening of it, later on in the week?

And as for Celebrity Dog School as someone mentioned... Words fail me. They should all be ashamed of themselves (trust me, I am for watching 5 minutes of it)... all of you... all of you...

Actually based on a show from Columbia, although has been done in a number of countries.

This is not an original idea.

watched a bit then flicked in the ads to biggest loser & ended up staying there -

saw devil wears prada & with betty you can pretty much guess how the show will pan out & plus shallow boss to fall h inlove with her personality - so won't be rushing to watch it

I didnt watch (looks really funny though) this so could somebody dig out a review for me to assess?

2.03 million, and on the strength of that episode, I'd expect at least 1.7 million of them to come back for another sample

but what the hell were Seven thinking by marketing it the way they did?

I haven't downloaded any more episodes yet, but it definitely strikes me as a drama series with comedic elements (the Telenovelas are obvious comedic fodder, while Betty's home life had some really well-portrayed dramatic elements), and I can definitely see why America Ferrera won the Golden Globe

I think this one might be a keeper :thumbsu:

I enjoyed it, but I missed the first 10-15 minutes of it.

I agree with Tigerfan. It's more a drama show with comedy moments, in the style of Sex in the City.

It's not what I expected but I enjoyed it regardless.

With Daniel (the boss) getting that 'attention' from under the desk, I am surprised the sensors allowed it to be shown that early. Plenty of kids would have been watching!

I couldnt watch anymore after the constant close ups of her fat lips and braces in the first ten minutes of the show! They overdid that way too much, yeah shes "ugly" and dresses without taste, we didnt need to see her mouth so many times.

You would have thought Colgate would have had an ad in there or perhaps the Australian Dental Association.:D

I didnt like it at all. It was cruel and it made me feel a bit sad, especially as there are actually people out there that are that bitchy and superficial.

There was nothing funny about it in my opinion.

And what is it saying to all the people out there with braces, that they're automatically ugly? I know its the whole package but i actually cant believe a show like that has gone to air and been successful.

Surely you'd seen an ad for the show before you watched it.You had to know what to expect.if so,why did you watch it ?

And somehow you're not ready for good to triumph over evil and for the ugly duckling to turn into a beautiful swan. You could write the script yourself.

Yep. It wasnt something i deliberately watched though, i was just on that channel at the time. But it didnt show the more cruel scenes on the ads.

I saw that the ads for next week showed something about a "book" and its a lot like "The Devil Wears Prada", too much so, but i'm not entirely convinced this show is going to go in that same direction. I have a strange feeling "Betty" will stay the same,.. ?

Well Betty's going to come out the winner in the end you realise don't you?

It's easy to work out that it's the good looking bitchy people who come out looking worse.

It lost only around 200k, while 60 minutes could only gain 100k........while Grey's i don't think lost any viewers which is amazing, a good 1.7m last night.

I don't mind it - bit of a laugh in parts if you ask me.

FTA on Sunday night has gone down the toilet. Show's not starting at advertised time, most is a load of old cobblers. e.g. 60 Minutes is about credible as Cher's natural looks. Then we get lambasted with drivel called, Australian Idol and Big Brother on 10. These shows must be for the brain dead by the brain dead. All it needs is for 7 to put on "celebrity" surfing or something.

Bring back the 8.30 movie. Thank heavens for Austar etc.
