This thread is to discuss Dylan McLaren.
It will be used throughout the season for everyone, and will be the home for his buddy poster.

Well, i'm looking after Dylan this year, although i'm not sure how many senior games he'll play with both Cloke and Ackland training very well during the summer.

Nothing has changed my mind after watching Cloke and Ackland do their thing on Saturday night. I will be doing my best to get a few Bullants games this year, so my reports on Dylan might be few and far between.

Dylan is coming from a long way back with an uninspiring 2006, preseason injury and a good first up performance from his main competition for the second ruck spot, Cam Cloke.

I'm hoping Dylan can put in a strong performance on the weekend, and see if he can force his way back into the Carlton team. Should have report up here at some stage on Sunday night.

I always feel a bit sorry for McLaren. He was thought of a saviour kind of, just someone who could do more than he was capable of. i think we've always had really high expectations for him, which wasn't really fair. Bottom of the ladder, low ruck stocks, get a ruckman from a team that just won 3 premierships.

I have a feeling this will be his last year, but hopefully he gets over the injury and plays some good footy for the bullants, maybe in teh seniors, but i really can't see Ackland or Cloke getting shafted unless injury occurs *touch wood*

Thought I would do a quick update for my buddy.

Is currently injured, and will be out of the Ants team for a while still. Only a miracle will see him:

1. Get a game with the Carlton team this year, and
2. Stay on our list beyond the end of this year.

Will definitely struggle to stay on the list past this year-I would be incredibly surprised and disappointed if he did.

Tries his guts out but truth is that he just isn't good enough. Before he got injured was our 3rd best ruckman after Cloke and Ackland. By the end of the year Aisake and maybe even Hammo will have overtaken him.

Fair point that J.
IMHO, he'll just about be the first one cut at the end of the year.

Him, Teague and Bannister should all be cut simultaneously at the end of the year.

Fair call, but McLaren should be this first one to get the DCM.

Looks like the great "ruck killer" has called it quits. No official announcement from the Blues yet.
